Maintenance Supervisor - 3rd Shift

Summary:
This role is an opportunity to join the leadership team creating the future at Hershey’s newest, state-of-the-art fulfillment center in Annville, PA. The facility will play a critical role in the company’s strategic growth objectives delivering step-change commercial value, leveraging advanced technology and expanding agility for customer growth. You’ll work directly with key leaders from Hershey and our 3PL partners to create the culture and foundational operating procedures that will ensure safety, quality and efficiency in our new hybrid operating model. Under the direction of the maintenance manager, the maintenance supervisor will lead and supervise all functions and activities of the maintenance department. The position will partner with key site, corporate, and 3PL stakeholders to implement and drive best practices in safety, quality, maintenance processes, reliability, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis in a three shift, five day working environment.
In addition, the Maintenance Supervisor:
- Supervision & Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and train maintenance technicians to ensure efficient operations across the facility.
- Promote and maintain a safety-first culture throughout the plant.
- Delegate daily and weekly assignments appropriately.
- Set goals and objectives aligned with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives.
- Personally support Autonomous Maintenance activities with all maintenance personnel.
- Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) regularly.
- Identify operational issues and communicate them to plant management.
- Implement corrective actions to achieve departmental goals.
- Provide hands-on support during complex equipment breakdowns.
- Manage overtime and vacation schedules to meet plant needs.
- Staff Development & Training
- Coordinate training programs to align maintenance staff with company, plant, and departmental objectives.
- Participate in the recruitment and hiring process for new maintenance technicians.
- Ensure all technicians complete required monthly LMS safety and quality training.
- Budget Management
- Communicate and manage unplanned spending to support maintenance department budget goals.
- Maintenance Systems & Procedures Oversight
- Monitor and ensure completion of preventive maintenance (PM) tasks using SAP.
- Ensure accurate logging of technician time and materials in SAP.
- Coach and mentor technicians on effective use of SAP.
- Oversee daily management systems that support continuous improvement.
- Lead defect handling and breakdown elimination efforts through root cause analysis.
- Support equipment center lining and Autonomous Maintenance activities.

Minimum Requirements and Education:
- B.S. degree in Engineering or related discipline preferred or 5+ years of equivalent technical experience will be considered
- 5+ years Trades/Technical/Maintenance related experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food processing, fulfillment and supply chain
