Pay:

  • $22/hr.

  • Weekly pay

Shifts:

  • Day shift available

  • Monday-Friday (8-hour shifts working 8am-5pm)

Job Summary

Responsible for verifying and record keeping on shipping and receiving activities at the Bluffton Manufacturing location and satellite warehouse space.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Know and enforce standard operating procedures (SOP) for Shipping and Receiving.
  • Check and respond to email.
  • Maintain strong communication with Warehouse leadership team of operations.
  • Complete all needed documents such as NAFTA, BOL’s, packing slips, and international documents.
  • Check in and out truck drivers in a timely manner using logistics software, and ensure appropriate shipment paperwork is completed completely and accurately.
  • Handle transactions with a high level of confidentiality and ensure all legal documents are completed accurately.
  • Assign drivers to bays for loading and unloading activities.
  • Provide service at window.
  • Complete bills of lading for drivers.
  • Update dispatch on COA released shipments.
  • Maintain Shipping and Warehouse office areas.
  • Ensure employee and driver compliance with all location GMPs, Safety Rules, OSHA Codes, and Security policies.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

Relationships/Contacts

 

  • Coordinate with sales, scheduling, and carriers to ensure timely shipments
  • Update customer service on any traffic issues or problems

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years’ experience in shipping and/or receiving

 

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Mathematical Skills required

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands to arms, and talk to hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
