Senior Manager, Customer Sales Optimization

Summary:

Hershey is looking for a technical Senior Product Manager to own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of the technology that enables our customer sales optimization capabilities. This role will require working closely with cross-functional technical teams and leaders from various functions of the business, including but not limited to strategic revenue growth management, planning, sales, category management, and marketing. We have the blueprint for the defined products but are looking for someone excited to take that blueprint and build a clear vision & roadmap to drive the multi-year execution. Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and communicate in partnership with business stakeholders the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with overall business and technical goals for customer sales optimization including trade technologies 

  • Partner with cross-functional IS teams on a holistic strategy for Trade & customer sales capabilities and collaborate with product owners to ensure a clear understanding of requirements. 

  • Continuously collects and analyzes data and product feedback to identify opportunities for product improvement 

  • Lead the design & implementation of key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor product performance 

  • Collaborate with IS team to ensure product scalability, compliance, and integration with Hershey’s Enterprise Data & Platform environments. 

  • Commit with stakeholders on incremental value being delivered through customer sales optimization products (e.g. increased net sales, optimizing costs, etc.) 

  • Provides input throughout all stages of a product’s lifecycle including modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product 

  • Enforces agile methodologies throughout projects, actively participates in sprint planning, manages the backlog, and guides through associated enterprise prioritization processes – further partnering with our Transformation and Cross-functional Portfolio Managers. 

 

Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in product management  

  • Experience building & overseeing technology and analytics products 

  • Strong business/stakeholder relationship management skills 

  • Strong problem-solving abilities. Possess the ability to start with ambiguous scenarios and drive a clear problem statement that articulates the value being added through technology enablement 

  • Strong analytical skills for data-driven decision-making 

  • Ability to write clear user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria and technical documentation 

  • Ability to align product strategy with long-term business goals 

  • Business fundamentals including financial management, metrics reporting, business process management, customer centricity, business analysis and problem solving 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 

  • Knowledge of sales, category management, trade promotion management, trade promotion analytics & optimization technologies is a plus 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, analytics, mathematics, or a STEM related field
