How will you fit in the big picture?

The Staff AI Solution Architect is a highly collaborative individual contributor within Hershey's central IS AI organization. This role partners with functional teams and digital leads to identify high-value business opportunities and enable the design, adoption, and scaling of AI, automation, and agent-based solutions. Rather than owning day-to-day business operations, this role empowers business teams to successfully build, deploy, measure, and sustain digital solutions while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, data, security, and governance standards.

What will you do?

  • Partner with functional leaders and digital teams to identify, prioritize, and shape AI and automation opportunities that drive measurable business value.
  • Translate business needs into practical, scalable solution designs leveraging AI, workflow automation, analytics, and emerging agentic capabilities.
  • Coach, train, and enable business users to design, test, deploy, and continuously improve solutions using approved enterprise platforms.
  • Collaborate with data, architecture, security, governance, and platform teams to ensure solutions meet enterprise standards.
  • Establish KPIs, success measures, adoption plans, and performance expectations for AI-enabled solutions.
  • Provide reusable standards, design patterns, testing approaches, documentation, and implementation guidance.
  • Support solution lifecycle management from ideation through deployment, optimization, and retirement.
  • Monitor solution effectiveness and recommend opportunities to improve, scale, redesign, or sunset solutions based on results.
  • Contribute to enterprise AI best practices, governance frameworks, and reusable technical playbooks.

Minimum Requirements

Experience:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in technology delivery, software engineering, data and analytics, automation, digital transformation, enterprise systems implementation, or related fields.
  • Experience translating business challenges into technology solutions and driving measurable outcomes.
  • Experience working with AI, workflow automation, analytics, digital products, or enterprise platforms.
  • Working knowledge of APIs, integrations, enterprise data sources, and solution architecture principles.
  • Experience collaborating across business, technology, data, security, and governance stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of responsible AI, data governance, privacy, security, and risk management practices.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and continuous learning mindset related to AI, automation, large language models, and emerging technologies.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience required.
  • Preferred fields of study include Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, Data Science, Business Technology, or related disciplines.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $111,600 to $139,500 per year. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of job‑related factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skill set, education, and training. In addition to a market-competitive base salary, our Total Rewards package includes performance‑based incentives and a comprehensive, competitive benefits package designed to support overall physical, mental, and financial well‑being (as applicable).
