Sr. Analyst, Supply Chain Manufacturing Finance

Summary of Role:

The Sr. Analyst Finance Supply Chain Manufacturing is responsible for providing financial analysis and support to manufacturing operations. This position acts as the key analyst and business partner to the plant team. This role involves in-depth analysis of production costs, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and annual planning to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation of the manufacturing processes. The senior analyst will work closely with the manufacturing leadership team to identify opportunities for cost savings, and process improvements. This role is expected to travel and work onsite (in each site being supported) at least once a month per site.

 

 

 

Role Responsibilities:

Business Partnership

  • Business partner to the Plant Team
  • Manage and control manufacturing variances incl. efficiency/waste/labor/material usage variances.
  • Identify and analyze key cost drivers within the manufacturing process.
  • Recommend and implement cost-saving measures and process improvements.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to manufacturing costs.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis.
  • Support cross-functional projects and initiatives.

Financial Analysis and Reporting

  • Conduct detailed analysis of manufacturing costs and variances.
  • Prepare comprehensive manufacturing financial reports and presentations for Plant management.
  • Perform cost-benefit analysis for manufacturing projects and initiatives.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly operational and financial performance reporting.

Budgeting, Forecasting, and Standard Updates

  • Lead the preparation of outlooks, business updates and annual budgets for manufacturing operations.
  • Lead annual standards cost review process
  • Develop and maintain financial forecasts and models.
  • Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.

Standard Cost

  • Ensure accurate standards (BOM and routing) are being maintained.
  • Capable in simulating product costing to support innovation project via good understanding of BOM and production process with strong collaboration with manufacturing team.

Data Management and Others Process Improvements

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Utilize financial software and tools to analyze data.
  • Improve Finance processes and reporting tools

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Alteryx, Tableau).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to apply knowledge to create influential insights and drive real time conversations in support of decision making

 

 

 

 

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

  • Education –
    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
    • Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience –
    • At least 5-7 years of experience in a finance position, preferably in consumer-packaged goods (CPG) and/or cost accounting, plant controllership, financial planning & analysis
