Position Title: Associate Mgr. Global Trade Auditor
Reports to Title: Sr. Manager, Global Trade Compliance
Dept / Function: US & Canada Supply Chain
Location: El Salto, Jalisco (hybrid)
Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for ensuring the identification, monitoring and reporting the level of compliance with the Global Customs and Foreign Trade Regulations applicable in the company.
Conduct regular compliance audits, assessments, and self-reviews to ensure adherence to global trade laws and internal policies. Manage and respond to any trade compliance issues, violations, or incidents, working with legal and other departments as necessary to resolve them.
Facilitate training programs for employees on global trade compliance requirements, ensuring awareness and understanding across the organization. Establish metrics and reporting mechanisms to measure the effectiveness of the trade compliance program.
Within the scope of this position will be auditing global trade compliance policies & procedures in North America, South America and Asia, ensuring the identification of variations, as well as implementing customs risk mitigation actions through process improvement and automation.
Responsibilities:
Definition and Execution of the Global Annual Preventive Audit Plan in conjunction with the Regional Trade Compliance Managers (60%)
- Perform frequent Audits on the policies & procedures content for new Import and Export operations, identify deviations and propose preventive and corrective actions in conjunction with Global Trade Compliance, Global Trade Operations and External Firms.
- Support Global Audit on Supply Chain Security and Global Trade. (CTPAT/AEO)
- Ensure compliance with Global Origin Certifications.
- Collaborate with external audit firms to provide information on foreign trade in annual corporate audit.
- Actively collaborate with implementing Hershey’s Global Corporate Compliance program.
Project Management & Reporting (25%)
- End to End Project Planning & Execution, Timeline Definition, Specific Activities that help with the organization and presentation of results.
- Preparation of executive reports, aimed at high organizational level audiences.
- Have an excellent level of storytelling to facilitate understanding of the results and proposals presented.
Automation (15%)
- Preparation of reports through Power BI, Access, or some other tool for controlling and monitoring KPIs, which facilitates the reduction of manual work and guarantees access to information in real time.
Requirements:
- Education: International Business or Equivalent
- Language: Proficient English
- Travel Availability: 30%
Experience:
- +10 years of experience in relevant Trade Compliance roles/activities.
- ERP/GTS Management
- IMMEX / Free Trade Zone / Bonded Warehouse Knowledge/Experience
- Experience attending Government Audits (CBP/CBSA/SAT/Receita Federal)
- Experience working in a Trade Compliance Firm.
- High Analytical Skills
- Able to work under minimum supervision, high sense of urgency.
