Assoc Mgr Plastics Operations

Position Title:               Plastics Operations Associate Mgr              

Summary:  Briefly state the primary purpose of the job.

Position committed to quality and food safety carrying out activities directly and indirectly designing, developing, obtaining, manufacturing, distributing and/or selling our products to satisfy our customers and consumers.

Maintenance Lead, production, molds and team design, to control the maintenance and manufacture of molds, injection machines and production KPIs, utility equipment and general deliverables of the Plastics  plant.

Develop and coordinate the manufacturing process of new molds.

Develop new products, savings and detail designs with packaging engineering

Back Up: Maintenance Supervisor and Production Supervisor

              Time %             Summary of major duties:

1.          40%     New molds manufacturing:

Develop the molds design according to the planning & product requirements. Advanced consultancy in programming and machining of molds

Management materials, personnel, and finance resources within the manufacturing molds process.  

Maintenance & Tool-shops.

Assure proper corrective and preventive maintenance in the molds and equipment through coordinating Santa Ana tool-shop, personnel and maintenance team keeping quality and safety requirements.

2.          40%     Manufacturing

Responsible for the production area, management of kpis, management of personnel supervisors and production deliverables.

Manage of vacations, personnel permitions, change of schedule, etc. at HRP-SAP

Assure that the activities of the technicians follow the procedures and policies established by the company.

3.          20%     Innovation process:

Provides support for the packaging engineering to contribute to the launch of new products.

Generate ideas, prototypes and drawings of molds and plastic parts in CAD programs, generates solutions based on specific requirements providing detailed specifications for manufacturing.

Minimum knowledge:

              Advanced plastic transformation processes

Advanced knowledge in mold design

CNC programming.

CAD (3D design certification).

CAM-CAE programming.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:  Be specific with regard to years of experience, special training, applicable degree (or critical college level courses), as well as equivalency to education and experience. 

Education:      Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineer or similar.

Experience:    5 years.
