DATA ENGINEER

Summary

The Hershey Data & Technology team is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst who will participate on building, improving, and maintaining data solutions that transform the way the business makes decisions. You’ll need skills in databases, analysis, communications, and a passion for solving problems. You will work closely with the business and actively transform and improve, with data, the way Hershey operates.

Responsabilities

• Craft SQL code to create new solutions or support current ones
• Build and maintain database infrastructure and workflows required for extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from different data sources
• Improve existing structures by adding new functionalities or proposing technological updates.
• Build and maintain Data Lake / Datawarehouse and Data Marts for different use cases.
• Support ad-hoc analytical needs as needed by developing, analyzing data, and/or creating visualizations in Power BI and/or Tableau.
• Work together with owners of data, tech leads and solution architects to build Business Intelligence Solutions.
• Document processes and operational manuals.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience working with ETLs.
• SQL understanding and implementation.
• Experience working with dashboards: Power BI or Tableau or other.
• Knowledge on Azure Data Factory, Alteryx, SQL Server Integration Services or similar workflow tools.
• Experience working in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, etc) are a plus
• Scripting skills are a plus (Python or R)

Education

               Bachelor’s degree with a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math focus.

Experience Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in data management, and related technologies with excellent organizational and analytical abilities
• 1+ years of experience with scripting and programming languages
