Sr Mgr Engineering & Maintenance

Position Title: Sr Manager Technical Assurance 

Reports to Title: Supplying Chain Director Mexico          

Dept / Function: Supply Chain  

Location: El Salto, Jalisco

Summary: 

Position committed to quality and food safety carrying out activities directly and indirectly designing, developing, obtaining, manufacturing, distributing and/or selling our products to satisfy our customers and consumers. 

Responsible of managing CAPEX, Engineering, Maintenance/Utilities & Facilities.

Responsibilities:

1. Engineering & CAPEX 35%

• Prepare and present CAPEX Budget Annually
• Lead communication with Corporate Capital Administrative areas

• Manage & assign strategically Capital earmarked to the region of Hershey Mexico
• Assess CAPEX projects on time and within budget
• Support business continuity
• Support any capital investment needs for Hershey Mexico manufacturing plants (El Salto / Santa Ana)
• Strat plan support
• Master Plan 5 Years
• Support CI vision and strategies for El Salto Plant, alignment with CAPEX integration through project implementation

2. Integration of Maintenance Index versus investment (Asset renewal plan on site) 35%             

• Assess Maintenance KPI’s supporting from technical and management perspective.
• Budget assessment on Maintenance, Utilities and Facilities spending within target
• Support business needs from technical availability plan and reliability
• Utilities integration to process
• Equipment risk management Plan
• Facilities management plan within El Salto, Santa Ana, Providencia & Andares sites
• Assets management within El Salto, Santa Ana, Providencia & Andares sites

3. Responsible of Coaching & developing technical team 15%  

• Succession plan strategy

4. Cost center management 15%

• Site Investment budget management > 25,000,000 USD

Specific Knowledge:

• Bilingual (fluent 85%)
• MS Office
• AutoCAD
• WBS/Primavera (Desirable)
• SAP
• General technical knowledge and standards of all disciplines: civil, mechanical, electrical, processes, instrumentation and control, quality HACCP, SQF, Safety, Environmental
• Knowledge and development of high-performance teams
• General regulatory knowledge (NFPA, FM, ISO, ASME, ISA, etc)
• Knowledge of dairy and sweet chocolate processes (Desirable)
• Budget management, financial control and budget management
• TPM
• KAIZEN, A3 and six sigma knowledge

Education:        

• Engineering Degree in Chemistry, Industrial, Mechanical or electric.
• Desirable MBA of Finance Master’s Degree, Project Management Diploma

Experience:      

• 10 years of experience in Project Management (PMO)
• 5 Years experience maintenance applied to manufacturing
• 5 years of Food process experience, Environmental regulation, SQF, GMP, Food Safety and QA, Government permits, safety Standards (STPS, NFPA, FM, NOM) asset control
• Desirable +3 years of experience in CI environment (Lean, Six Sigma)
