Analyst Tax & Treasury
Position: Tax and Treasury Analyst
Reports to: Tax Supervisor – Mexico
Department: Finance
Objective:
Calculation and analysis of direct taxes (Income Tax), preparation of tax refunds and/or compensations, compliance with tax obligations (electronic accounting and informative returns), and response to requirements from the SAT and external auditors.
Responsibilities:
- Calculation of provisional income tax payments, nominal income, reduction of tax losses, profit sharing (PTU); reconciliation of withheld taxes (ISR and VAT).
- Preparation of tax refunds and/or compensations, integration of creditable and transferred VAT, VAT withholdings, reconciliation against account statements, verification of tax requirements in invoices, completion of tax forms F3241, and follow-up on observations from external advisors.
- Analysis and response to SAT requirements resulting from filings submitted to the authority.
- Completion of DyP and informative returns (monthly DIOTs and quarterly Multi-IEPS).
- Attention and follow-up on observations with external advisors (Big 4).
- Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts related to ISR and IEPS (transferred, creditable, and withholdings).
Requirements:
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and formulas (mandatory).
- Experience with SAP or any ERP system (mandatory).
- Familiarity with SAT tools (Multi-IEPS, DIOT, SAT portal) (mandatory).
- Intermediate English level.
- Effective communication.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
- Results-oriented mindset.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Public Accounting or related fields.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year in similar roles (staff, analyst, and/or tax specialist) in a firm, accounting office, or multinational company.
