Position Title: Intercompany COE Analyst - Accounting

Reports to Title: Sr Mgr Intercompany COE

Dept / Function: HBP

Location: Guadalajara, Mexico (Hybrid format)

 

 

This position will be posted internally until the close of business on April 1st 2025.

 

Summary:

The Intercompany (IC) COE Analyst supports the Hershey Business Platform’s mission to leverage resources on a global scale using shared services to reduce costs, maintain and / or increase customer service, and build new capabilities.

This position is primarily responsible for supporting the end-to-end global intercompany accounting, reporting and related systems, executing month-end intercompany accounting / reporting procedures and transfer pricing condition data maintenance, serving as subject matter expert for global intercompany accounting.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Track the completion of product movements from end to end by communicating with supply planning, customer service, transportation, global trade, accounts receivable and payable, and treasury.
  • Create cash application reconciliations for intercompany payments.
  • Perform intercompany journal entries as per Company policy.
  • Create documentation of intercompany processes and ensure documentation is current.
  • Perform, meet, and respond to Sarbanes-Oxley and both internal and external audit requirements and requests, as necessary.
  • Generate internal and external reporting for intercompany.
  • Complete intercompany balance sheet account reconciliations as assigned according to the Company policies and deadlines.
  • Participate in the implementation of and ongoing use of Blackline Intercompany Hub to address transaction management, dispute resolution, and consistency in calculations.
  • Maintain intercompany transfer pricing master data conditions.
  • Develop strong and collaborative working relationships with relevant business stakeholders.

 

Education

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field or equivalent degree.

Certified Public Accountant or equivalent certification desired.

 

Experience:      

3+ years of experience in accounting.

Minimum 2 years of experience in Intercompany Accounting preferred.

 

Knowledge, skills and abilities required:

  • Detailed understanding of accounting principles, having the knowledge of financial accounting and internal control concepts.
  • Demonstrate ability to understand and align international accounting activities with global process standardization objectives.
  • Advanced Excel spreadsheet analysis capabilities.
  • Excellent skills in SAP functionality (mandatory) and Blackline software (desired).
  • Problem solving and the ability to exercise good business judgment in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Strong ability to foster relationships with a diverse group of peers, customers, and suppliers.
  • Effective self-direction and motivation, and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
