Position Title: Mgr Supply Planning & Comanufacturing

Location: Planta El Salto, Jalisco

Summary:

Responsible for managing El Salto plant operations and comanufacturing (production planning, FG and Intermediates inventory management, labor planning, sales, SC KPI’s). Manages the creation of master production schedule for El Salto plant and comanufacturing rolling 18 months horizon, as well as detailed scheduling (days and shifts) per week. It also manages the distribution between Hershey DC’s to assure product is in the right location with the required Best Before Date to meet customers demand. Collaborates with different areas of the organization such as marketing, demand planning, customer service, logistics, purchasing / procurement and manufacturing to meet specific requirements and generate efficiencies in supply chain operations. Main objectives are to make sure product is available on time and in full (Case Fill Rate) to meet Hershey customer’s demand and contribute to achieve sales goals; inventory management is according to company goals (Working Capital Inventory) and create efficiencies within the supply chain creating end to end strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Managing Master Production Schedule 18-month horizon in JDA ESP system and detailed weekly schedule in JDA Sequencing system for El Salto plant production lines and Comufacturing / Copacking plants Maintain systems parameters to assure robust production plans for El Salto & Comanufacturing Plant, Assures Labor planning so that HR can have the correct headcount at the plant and be able to meet production schedule.
• Manage the materials (Raw, PKG, WIP, FG) align with the DOH policies to assure the correct balance in our warehouse network & covering the market demand.
• Manages activities from team members (1 Supply Sr Master Planner, 1 Supply Master Planner, 1 Coordinator Planning & Comanufacturing, 1 Replenishment & DDD’s Planner, 2 Sr Supply Planner, 5 Supply Planner, 1 Analyst Supply Planning & 4 Trainees). Performance management, talent development, etc.
• Collaborate with several functional areas in the organization on special or innovation projects, attend meetings, provide analysis, etc.

Skills and abilities required:

• Production planning, purchasing, Distribution planning skills
• Inventory management
• Capacity analysis
• Competences: Negotiation skills with internal customers / suppliers; Analytical skills; Risk analysis and decision making; Leadership skills.

Education:     

Bachelor’s in industrial engineering or common areas. Master Degree a plus

Experience:

3 – 5 years experience in production planning and purchasing
