Specialist Innovation
Summary
The Innovation Coordinator will assist the development of innovation strategy and pipeline and realize the innovations projects.
The Innovation Jr. Specialist is responsible to
1) Support Sr. Specialist and Sr Mngr on annual innovation plan execution with projects setting KPIs
2) Assist in development of new initiatives from ideation through commercialization using the stage gate process
3) Set up and managing of monthly innovation reporting to local and international forums
The Innovation Coordinator must have a keen view/knowledge of the environment including: a) general external and internal trends impacting the business; b) competitive assessment; c) Brands equities and marketing mix management. The Innovation coordinator requires solid analytical skills to sort through data to make well-reasoned conclusions, and translate the learnings into business plans/actions on product mix.
To effectively perform his or her duties, The Innovation coordinator must be at least intermediate, preferably proficient in all of the following key qualities as defined by the Hershey Company:

Responsabilities
20% Innovation Stage Gate process management
Leads project developments through the stage process
Aligns project priorities to ensure projects are consistent with set innovation goal ( eg. Timing, financial KPIs)
Planning and execution alignment of Local Innovation
Serves as project champion coordinating activities across functions to deliver project objectives
40% Local and International Innovation Reporting
Request, gather and consolidate the Marketing monthly Innovation Tracker from all marketing partners.
Generate the local and International Innovation Reports based on the innovation tracker.
30% Ideation/ analysis
Supports in:
Tracking and analyzing global and local innovation trends + mass consumption goods market dynamics and context to identify white spaces.
Analyzing consumer/market/shopper research to identify innovation opportunities to develop a pool of insights and ideas for exploration
Building initiatives’ business cases and consumers learning plan with insights and marketing teams
10% Personal Capability Development
Be responsible and committed for self training and development plan.
Be the ‘owner’ of self continuous growth under the supervision of the innovation Sr. Mngr.

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree required (Marketing/Management, high achievement and quantitative ability primary considerations).
Experience:
1-2 years of experience in the launch of new products, branding strategy, product development brief (advertising, product, packaging, target, etc)
P&L Reports and data analysis.
Marketing Experience: 1-2 years.
- Project management experience with stage gate process
- Brand management experience as brand associate
- Working knowledge of syndicated data (e.g. Nielsen-ISCAM).
Business Experience: 1-2 years.
- Background in consumer packaged goods
Experience in cross functional disciplines a significant plus (e.g. innovation, finance, category management)
