Payroll Supervisor
Responsible for supervise payroll representatives assigned as part of HBP LATAM scope, ensuring that all processes are executed appropriately and in a timely manner. Operates as the subject matter expert and escalation point to resolve issues and continuously looks for improvements in operational and technology processes and designs and implements those initiatives. Optimizes the contribution of the team through coaching, counseling and implements workable solutions to business issues/problems with minimum referral to management. Conducts work planning, estimation and prioritization to optimize performance of team and define standards and reusable approaches for payroll operations. Manages effective internal/external client relationships within own area of responsibility, and builds client relationships in the wider group or unit.
Major Duties/Responsibilities:
Communicate and align with relevant stakeholder the payroll payment process based on the procedure established
Attend internal – external audits inquiries
Supervise and ensure timely and accurately the following processes:
• Payment transactions
• Payroll accounting
• Payroll stamping
• Solution to Internal – external inquiries
15% Review and recommend improvements to existing payroll procedures and analyze payroll problems and provide appropriate resolutions
10% Develop best practices to improve efficiency of payroll processes and technology and implement quality control measures.
10% Ensure team members acquire necessary skills and performance attributes, in line with business and personal development needs.
5% Assist in audit operations and implement audit recommendations

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities: Include only required physical and/or mental abilities and special criteria (heavy lifting, driver's license requirement, overtime, special work hours, etc.). Minimum of 2 years of payroll supervising.
Experience in payroll processing under Mexico´s law.
Knowledge/ability to work with SAP HCM or another payroll processing system.
Familiar with Microsoft Office 365 Tools and Capabilities.
Experience in budget development and management.
Experience in a shared service environment and solid understanding of HR cycles.
HR experience preferably in an operations environment.
Ability to effectively supervise team members and work as a member of that team and organize work activities for other members of that team.
Possess strong communication & interpersonal skills in Spanish and English (both written & verbal) and work as a collaborative team member.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Be specific with regard to years of experience, special training, applicable degree (or critical college level courses), as well as equivalency to education and experience.
Education: BS in Accounting, Business Administration equivalent major or equivalent experience
