Analyst, Digital Asset Management

Summary of Role:
The Digital Asset Management Analyst is responsible for auditing visual content, assets, and metadata, as well as overseeing the asset lifecycle within the digital content portfolio. This position will primarily operate within the DAM (Digital Asset Management) system, also known as the HAS (Hershey Asset Studio), an enterprise capability that is essential to the organization's comprehensive content support strategy and the success of Hershey’s digital shelf.
By collaborating with various stakeholders, including Information Systems (IS), Design teams, external agency partners, as well as the broader content and syndication teams, this role will ensure that Hershey’s content creation and management capabilities continue to advance in alignment with the dynamic needs of omnichannel and customer requirements
Role Responsibilities:
Daily Operations for Digital Asset Management
- Serve as the business subject matter expert for assets in the HAS, currently an Adobe AEM system, keeping up to date with metadata and workflow standards
- Audit and enrich asset metadata for accuracy and completeness
- Publish assets to the HAS front-end for usage across the enterprise
- Develop and document an enhanced folder structure for digital assets, and implement workflow mappings within folder structures
- Organize and re-file digital assets in accordance with evolving standards, removing out-of-date assets
- Audit assets for relevance across packaging and photography for use on the digital shelf, partnering with stakeholders as needed
- Monitor asset accuracy for Omnichannel operations and content flowthrough activity to Salsify
System Support for Digital Assets
- Identify and troubleshoot technical issues with IS and manage support tickets
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Quality Assurance (QA) for new features, enhancements, or bug fixes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify issues and implement long-term solutions
- Monitor and respond to incoming HAS inbox requests, ensuring timely assistance as needed
- Support the integration of DAM system upgrades and/or integrations
Optimization of User Experience using Analytics & Reporting
- Partner with IS to identify and implement reporting through analytics systems, currently Adobe Analytics
Generate user interface and asset report findings monthly to provide actionable insights for system improvements
Desired knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Experience working with DAM platforms, preferably Adobe AEM
- Knowledge of asset tagging, taxonomy standards, and metadata improvements
- Experience with the Salsify platform and workflows
- Experience with Adobe Analytics or comparable digital analytics platform
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Education –
- BA Degree from an accredited university in business, digital marketing, or a related field is preferred or equivalent work experience
- Experience –
- 1-3 years of work experience in data and asset management, preferably in CPG
- Technical acumen with an ability to understand IS solutions and tradeoffs, and communicate technology concepts to business users
