Summary:
The Digital Transparency Analyst supports Hershey’s overall digital content strategy by creating capabilities that uncover issues preventing content delivery as well as ensuring delivery of accurate nutritional content via Smartlabel.com. There are over 1M pieces of content that must be managed across images, copy, and nutritional information. Success in this function unlocks omnichannel sales enablement and incremental growth for the organization. 

This role will engage in re-implementing our nutritional audit capabilities in a tool that is more scalable than the platform that is currently being used. This role will need to expand the use cases of this tool to enhance content support in the greater content ecosystem while providing support for an increasing number of upstream teams. 

Responsibilities will not be limited to nutritional content, as effort will be allocated to expanding Hershey’s audit capabilities for images and copy as well. Stakeholders in these spaces include: the DAM team, Strategic Design, Sales, and Holistic Search, among an increasing number of others. The ability to build and maintain relationships and an organized methodology will be critical to supporting this team’s initiatives into the organization. 


Summary of major duties:
Publish Content and Facilitate Issue Resolution:

• Publish and review SmartLabel landing pages containing Hershey’s nutritional content to SmartLabel.com and consistently manage listings to ensure they are delivering the required disclosures
• Monitor and remove legacy SmartLabel landing pages as item shelf-life expires
• Lead discussions with cross-functional teams to accelerate the issue identification and resolution process
• Participate as a stakeholder in developing a governance model around nutritional content management
• Leverage data extraction tools to meet nutritional content needs for Hershey’s product experience management platform (Salsify/PXM)
• Support requirements development to further enhance Hershey’s transparency tools

 

Maintain current and build new Analytics and Audit Tools:
• Conduct data quality audits of upstream system data sets in to bring visibility and awareness to issues/gaps
• Work cross-functionally to assist with auditing and issue resolution
• Extract data to update the nutritional content audit file and then transform outputs into issue lists that can be resolved and published to SmartLabel
• Re-implement and maintain nutritional content audit tool in PowerBI
• Build new functionality into Hershey’s transparency tools based on user feedback around existing and new requirements

 

Skills/ Competencies/ Qualifications:
• Advanced Microsoft Excel experience using functions, macros and power query is required
• Intermediate Alteryx experience with basic functionalities is preferred
• Experience with SmartLabel is preferred
• Intermediate knowledge of PowerBI is preferred
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners and leaders in other functions
• Effective time management/prioritization skills
• Analytical with the ability to create and optimize processes
• Organized, detail oriented, and results focused
• Self-motivated, self-starter is highly desired

 

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:  
Education: Bachelor's Degree from accredited university in business, computer science, or similar field is preferred, but not required.
Experience:
•Consideration will be given to candidates with Recipe Development experience.
•Education in/knowledge of Food Labeling regulations preferred.
