The Client Services team (part of Information Services) uses technology to drive an efficient workforce and to provide resilient, consistent IT systems. The team achieves this by maximizing employee productivity, minimizing IT system downtime, and through better manageability.


The Workplace Solutions team (part of Client Services) provides global support, standardization, and strategy for Hershey’s Workplace Collaboration Solutions across the company. The Workplace Solutions team aims to be generous with knowledge, having the wisdom to make the right decisions that enable end-users to work better on their devices of all types. The team earns internal business trust by implementing technology and behavior changes that positively affect work productivity.


Services and solutions provided by the Workplace Solutions team include:


  • Support of O365 Services
  • Exchange Online/On-Prem
  • SharePoint Online/On-Prem
  • Microsoft Teams
  • PowerAutomate Platform – Flow, PowerApps, PowerBI
  • Cross-Function Support
  • Responsible for cross-team awareness and knowledge transfer for key supported technologies
  • Roadmap and Strategy
  • Responsible for key areas and working with management on Roadmaps and Strategy of O365 Services
  • Working with Internal Business Partners on solutions leveraging Productivity Tools
  • Help define requirements and deliver solutions on time.
  • Vendor Licensing & Contracts
  • Requirements writing and review of documentation
  • Work with Internal Contracts and Procurement teams
  • Automation: PowerShell Scripting, Power Automate
  • Compliance, Security, and SLA management:
  • Applied best security practices in all services/solutions
  • Process requests and Incidents with Service-Now
  • Work with testing teams to ensure RFC processes
  • Productivity analysis (Performance monitoring that drives productivity enhancements)
  • Solution management, design, maintenance, and enhancement of client infrastructure
  • Basic Understanding of Key Infrastructure Technologies:
  • Azure Active Directory/Active Directory
  • Servers and Networking
  • Work with IS Communications and Corporate Communications teams to clearly articulate communication efforts for the team.


Major Duties/Responsibilities:


Solutions Management


  • Provide 3rd/4th level support and management of services and solutions provided by the Workplace Solutions team
  • Prepare detailed technical specifications for use with internal customers, IT colleagues, and other stakeholders to collect and analyze business requirements for multifunctional projects
  • Work with Business to deliver Business Solutions that drive value for the Business.


Strengthen organizational effectiveness


  • Participate in projects to enhance and extend capabilities in the client services space
  • Develop appropriate governance for these tools and drive adoption throughout the organization
  • Provide technical consulting support and participate in the project planning process; monitor and report to management on the status of project efforts and provide work effort estimates
  • Lead or assist in continuous process improvement efforts


Innovation and Research


  • Identify, recommend, and implement new capabilities related to client infrastructure



Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:


  • Must have strong communication skills to work with internal customers and become a trusted advisor.
  • Must demonstrate ability to interact with other Hershey technical teams, identify opportunities for continuous improvement, plan for dependencies, mitigate security risks and deliver solutions that require a high degree of integration.
  • Must understand the roadmap of cloud solutions and offerings, where they will play and add value in the Hershey experience, and what tradeoffs need to be made to take advantage of real value propositions.
  • Business Acumen: Demonstrates understanding of commercial, operational, financial and people aspects of the business. Ability to analyze business processes and to recommend and implement process improvements.
  • Courage to challenge the status quo and take smart risks



Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:




  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
