Job Title:            Analyst, PMO Tools Clarity Functional


Job Location:     Hershey, PA 


This position is open for 100% remote.  




The Analyst, PMO Tools Clarity Functional will drive roadmap initiatives, specifically around the Resource Management and Project Management functions in Clarity PPM. They will be responsible for the oversight and continued growth of our resource management and project management data quality and KPI metrics reporting. They will partner with IS Managers and Portfolio teams in managing resource demand by proactively reviewing, analyzing, and assessing demand coming from the business. The Analyst, PMO Tools Clarity Functional will conduct capacity/resource assessments for teams and coordinate with project managers and portfolio managers on capacity, timelines, and budgets to make recommendations for workforce and resource planning. They will also conduct project assessments to determine compliance with Hershey project standards. The Analyst, PMO Tools Clarity Functional will use strong critical thinking skills along with business knowledge to have insight and understanding of business concepts, tools and processes that are needed for making sound resource capacity and optimization decisions. They will assist in the implementation and deployment of Clarity PPM enhancements and provide ongoing support to the user community by executing policy changes that drive improved project and resource optimization and customer experience.


Major Duties/Responsibilities: 


  • Resource Management and Project Management KPI metric reporting and follow-up for data quality initiatives
  • Manage relationships with IS managers and Portfolio teams to understand their project and non-project staffing and scheduling needs and challenges
  • Track progress and notifies management of issues that require escalation and assumes responsibility for resolving or coordinating the resolution of resource capacity issues and project data quality concerns
  • Suggest solutions, recommendations and enhancements based on customer input and observations
  • Roadmap enhancements and improvements to Resource Management and Project Management data quality
  • Provide support and training to new and existing tool users, both individually and in groups
  • Create training materials and conduct user training
  • Provide backup support for Level 1 Clarity Functional Issues/Defects


Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:


  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of Resource Management, including capacity and resource planning
  • analytical problem-solving skills, with experience in Clarity PPM
  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of Project Management, including PMI methodology
  • Experience with various system development lifecycles such as but not limited to waterfall and Agile methods
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with portfolio leadership, resource managers and influence decisions with constraints with solid understanding of portfolio pipeline and future needs
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, specifically Excel and other analytical tools
  • Strong knowledge of both SharePoint and Microsoft Teams environment


Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: 




  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical field required




  • 3+ years of experience as an analyst working with Clarity PPM
  • 5 or more years of experience in developing requirements and performing system analysis
  • Capacity and resource planning experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of project and portfolio management principles
  • Analytical problem-solving skills, with experience in quantifying staffing metrics against technical and project workloads
  • Ability to communicate ideas and problem solutions
  • Ability to effectively work with both internal and external clients
