Summary of Role:
The Associate Manager THX Finance plays a critical role for The Hershey Experience region with P&L and accounting responsibility, control oversight, project, and initiative support for the Global Licensing and National Food Service businesses generating $415M in Net Sales.
This position will focus on efficient and accurate management of all FP&A and accounting activities for the Global Licensing businesses including Balance Sheet and P&L oversight, risk and controls governance, and reporting requirements. Strong managerial and leadership capabilities will also be required to optimize business processes and drive mindful business decisions. Additionally, this position will partner with cross-functional teams to assist in the evaluation of strategic priorities, business objectives, and Licensing related projects. The successful candidate will possess the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/areas of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy.
This role will also support THX’s growing National Food Service channel from a finance perspective, including FP&A and ad hoc requests.

Role Responsibilities:
Licensing – Accounting
- Responsibilities also including Balance Sheet and P&L oversight, risk and controls governance, and reporting requirements
- Owns execution of period-end accounting close processes including general ledger account reconciliations, and financial reports
- Establish and maintain policies and procedures in alignment with corporate guidelines, local regulations, and essential operating procedures to ensure compliance
- Provide technical accounting and finance expertise to internal stakeholders
Licensing – FP&A
- Responsible for day-to-day FP&A activities including sales reporting and monthly THX FP&A cycles/cadence for Global Licensing
- Responsible for Global Licensing annual Plan process, annual strategic Plan process, and monthly business updates
- Supports pricing analysis and profitability reporting
- Responsibilities also including Balance Sheet and P&L oversight, risk and controls governance, and reporting requirements
- Provide decision making support to management through financial analyses and presentations to facilitate mindful business decisions
National Food Service– FP&A
- Responsible for day-to-day FP&A activities including sales report and monthly THX FP&A cycles/cadence for National Food Service
- Responsible for National Food Service annual Plan process, annual strategic Plan process, and monthly business updates
- Supports with KPI tracking and P&L modelling for innovation & gross margin benchmarking
Strategic Priorities and Miscellaneous Analysis
- Perform miscellaneous reports, special projects and analysis as required by business
Desired knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Strong proficiency in US GAAP reporting, general ledger accounting and financial management reporting processes
- Self-starter capable of taking the initiative with minimal direction and demonstrates initiative by working proactively by raising key opportunities and risks/issues to management teams.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/areas of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment under minimal supervision with a high degree of accuracy
- Comfortable working with a wide variety of models and businesses
- Ability to leverage business systems (S/4 HANA, etc.) and tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) to support business execution and measurement of results
- Strong ability to work cross-functionally and understand resource constraints/obstacles
- Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of employees
- Works effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge and experience with SAP systems and processes
- Proficiency in using PowerBI, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Education –
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or business-related field required
- MBA or CPA preferred but not required
- Experience –
- 4 years’ work experience in accounting, planning, analytical and/or strategic capacity.
- CPG and/or other consumer-facing products experience preferred.
- Experience in Licensing desired
