Associate Manager Strategic Growth Platforms

ROLE SUMMARY:
The Associate/Senior Associate Brand Manager will play a pivotal role in helping The Hershey Company achieve it’s Better-For-You (BFY) ambition of reaching $1B in sales by 2030 and becoming #1 in CMG BFY. The ABM role will:
- Lead cross-functional teams to ideate, develop, and prioritize Better-For-You innovation concepts.
- Champion prioritized concepts through stage gates and commercialization (micro battle and national launch). In the case of micro battles, will track in-market tests to measure innovation concept performance and potential to scale nationally.
- Support exploration and definition of Hershey’s Better-For-You opportunity areas via data and consumer insights
- Support Manager in other activities to drive Better-For-You portfolio strategy
Given flexible team dynamics, position may support several Managers or Senior Managers and may span multiple strategic growth platforms
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support strategic planning and 5+ year pipeline development for BFY
- Translate viable opportunities into testable commercial concepts
- Lead development of innovation business case, cross-functional coordination and problem solving, and securing leadership alignment to commercialize prioritized BFY projects
- Develop, execute, and manage in market tests to gauge viability of commercial concepts; establish key milestones and success metrics, then track in-market performance
- Actively participate in team meetings
- Identify impediments and potential solutions to grow Hershey’s Better-For-You portfolio
- Track Better-For-You category performance
- Communicate across functions to ensure alignment
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required
Experience:
- Strong analytical skills and experience using multiple retail and consumer data sources (e.g. IRI, NPD, Panel, 84.51)
- Ability to translate data and insights into actionable commercial solutions
- Outstanding leadership skills, including comfort leading cross-functional teams
- Strong communication skills and collaborative team player
- Proclivity for creating the future by nurturing innovation and identifying creative solutions to obstacles
- Demonstrated business knowledge and holistic general management approach
- Action oriented and energized by fast timelines and making an impact
- Ability to adapt to new processes and ways of working
