Associate Project Manager
Job Location: Hershey, PA / Remote
Role Summary: Responsible for the planning, managing, and ensuring the success of Supply Chain portfolio and network projects by partnering with various cross-functional groups to support The Hershey Company’s priorities. Projects will include Continuous Improvement, Network Strategy, and other high complexity projects initiated within the Supply Chain.
Responsibilities:
- Project management process expert - owns project execution, including project initiation, project type & tier, identification, and knowledge of applicable project processes.
- Provide a critical leadership role in ensuring the successful development and execution of projects for continuous improvement, manufacturing network changes, and other high complexity supply chain driven projects.
- Partners with Business Case Owner (BCO) to facilitate key decision making, remove roadblocks and outline risks to drive the projects forward through Stage Gate Process.
- Actively manages schedule, scope, resources, and budget.
- Utilizes information provided by the Core Team members to integrate it into plans.
- Identifies activities in project plan that are at risk and executes risk management developed in partnership with Business Case Owner (BCO).
- Supports development of project alternatives and scenarios.
- Drives Packaging Updates from Impact Analysis session.
- Ensures Supply Chain data cleansing as it relates to Supply Chain project management.
Qualifications:
- Understanding of Supply Chain Networks, interdependencies, and trade-offs
- Understanding global item portfolio and manufacturing IDs/Items specific to Business Units
- Advanced understanding of material flow thru (types, BOM setup, etc)
- Tactical Project Management

- Strong skills in managing multiple priorities

- Strong oral and written communication skills
- SAP experience
- Excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to make timely/sound decisions, and implement agreed upon solutions.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, be comfortable taking ownership or project deliverables, and possess the requisite skills to exceed customer expectations.
- Effectively use dashboards and reporting tools (including TPS, Item Develop and Global Portfolio) to manage work.
Experience and Education:
- 3-5+ years of related work experience in Supply Chain and/or Product Lifecycle Management
- PMP Certified preferred
- Lean Six Sigma preferred
