Associate/Senior Associate Brand Manager, Packtype Strategy, Front End Innovation
Job Location: Hershey, PA
Associate Brand Manager (ABM/Sr ABM) has responsibility for innovation and renovation projects and activities in support of the Front End business (Std/King/Peg/Refreshment). An ABM/Sr ABM must be a strong leader of people in cross-functional assignments as he/she plays a leadership role throughout the corporation, coordinating with other functional areas to ensure necessary actions occur in support of his/her marketing position. This position often plays a leadership and project management role with outside marketing suppliers such as design agencies.
Additionally, this position requires strong analytical skills as well as an ability to translate analysis on the business into recommended programs affecting all major marketing variables. Those marketing variables include advertising, promotion, product changes, pricing, new products, retail programs, and other key programs that could affect profitability and share. Must have a keen view of the external environment including general trends impacting the business, competitive assessments, and an understanding of both consumers and customers.
Position requires strong presentation and communication skills, and an enthusiasm for bringing best-in-class insights, strategies, and consumer experiences to the broader organization. The landscape is evolving very quickly and is expected to continue to do so. Being a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, and a passion for innovating is needed to capitalize on emerging opportunities.
Responsibilities:
• Strategic (3-5 year) and annual marketing planning and (periodic) re-planning on the business
• Bring marketing capabilities to life and advocate for a multi-channel approach across marketing, R&D, category management, IS, supply chain and sales
• Project ownership including navigation of stage-gate commercialization and launch readiness activities
• Leadership of activities inside and outside the company that will drive growth through successful product launches and implementation of marketing plans
• Analysis of the business results and/or guiding such analysis
• External and internal assessments of the business environment, competitors, customers, market trends, and implications to their area of responsibility
• Syndicated Data Analysis
• Creative and Design Agency Briefing
• Personal training and development
• This specific role will have responsibility for commercializing front end offerings across Standard, King, Refreshment, and Peg
Experience/ Skills:
• At least 3 years of related work experience
• Superior leadership and influencing skills
• Overall business knowledge and holistic general management approach
• Outstanding analytical abilities
• Ability to nurture and contribute to innovation and creative solutions
• Demonstrated ability to be accountable for sales and income results
• Strong verbal & written communicator to a wide breadth of audiences including senior leadership
