Job Overview
This role designs and implements technical solutions that are critical to the success of teams, products, or defined business capabilities. It ensures solutions meet quality, scalability, and performance expectations while addressing complex technical challenges using systems thinking and research. The role bridges business operations and IT by analyzing business processes, refining requirements, and translating them into detailed system specifications and designs. It leads key aspects of user acceptance testing, implementation, and solution stabilization to ensure effective deployment. The position also introduces improvements in methods, tools, or practices that enhance team efficiency and solution outcomes.
Accountabilities
1. Deliver Critical Technical Solutions Organizes and executes technical work needed to implement solutions that are essential to team or product success. Ensures deliverables meet defined non-functional requirements such as performance, reliability, and maintainability. Identifies technical risks early and designs mitigations to keep delivery on track.
2. Solve Difficult Technical Problems Investigates complex technical issues by analyzing data, logs, and system behavior across components. Applies systems thinking and experimentation to identify root causes and evaluate solution options. Selects and implements effective fixes or optimizations that prevent recurrence and improve overall system behavior.
3. Translate Complex Requirements into Designs Partners with business stakeholders to clarify and refine complex functional and non-functional requirements. Breaks down requirements into detailed system specifications, interface definitions, and configuration or customization needs. Ensures designs are traceable back to requirements and compatible with architectural guidelines.
4. Drive Solution Quality Through Testing and Implementation Leads key aspects of user acceptance testing preparation, execution, and defect triage within their solution scope. Supports implementation activities such as cutover planning, data validation, and technical verification tasks. Monitors early-life system behavior and coordinates technical adjustments to stabilize the solution.
5. Enable Cross-Functional Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing Serves as a subject matter expert for assigned systems and processes, facilitating effective communication between business and IT teams. Explains technical concepts, constraints, and decisions in clear, business-relevant terms. Documents solution patterns, best practices, and lessons learned to improve future delivery
