Director Global Compensation and M&A

Summary

 

The Director of Global Compensation is responsible for leading and developing a contemporary compensation program to support our Leading Snacking Powerhouse vision.  The role is critical in setting transformational strategies, executing large-scale projects, managing change, leading research and design, driving functional excellence and providing superior customer support to the business. The role will serve the organization in a consultative manner on all compensation related vehicles including Salary, Incentives and Recognition programs. 

 

The successful candidate must have a strong financial background, experience with Mergers and Acquisitions and be able to quickly understand the business to identify measurable and sustainable solutions for our Compensation Programs. Further, the candidate must have an action-oriented and collaborative mindset, with a demonstrated track record of forming productive, trust-based relationships with colleagues at all levels.

 

Major Duties/Responsibilities:

Summary of major duties:

 

-Responsible for the strategic direction, design, planning, alignment, effectiveness, and financial oversight of Hershey’s Global compensation programs.
-Lead research on emerging trends, issues, and best practices in compensation, using analytics to help enhance programs and processes, address concerns, and tell a compelling story.
-Run M&A compensation playbook for due diligence of potential acquisitions and integration of acquired acquisitions, ensuring collaboration on strategy with HR Lead and delivery of cost acquisition model.  
-Partner with client base to build a deep understanding of opportunities in total rewards that impact talent decisions including attraction, development, engagement, and retention ensuring any issues in pay equity are mitigated.  
-Develop and execute comprehensive communication/education strategies to improve engagement and drive our commercial advantage by ensuring employees understand our programs and how they can impact their compensation.

 

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:  

 

-In-depth knowledge of global compensation practices, including job analysis, salary structures, incentive programs, pay equity and market benchmarking.
-Experience in design and implementation of compensation structures across multiple geographies
-Experience in leading large-scale transformational projects with heavy change management requirements
-Strong understanding of global labor laws, regulations, and compliance requirements related to compensation.
-Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, conduct data-driven analysis, and provide actionable insights.
-Strong leadership and team management abilities, with the capacity to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
-Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
-Strategic mindset, with the ability to think globally, anticipate future trends, and adapt compensation strategies accordingly.
-Proficiency in utilizing HRIS and compensation management systems. Knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors is a plus. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.

 

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:  

 

Education: Bachelor's degree required in human resources, business administration, business, finance or related discipline. MBA or CCP preferred.

 

Experience: 15+ years of experience in HR, Finance or Strategy.  Multinational company preferred.
