How will you fit in the big picture?

The Enterprise AI Control Tower Owner is responsible for providing enterprise-wide visibility, governance coordination, cost transparency, and operational oversight across Hershey's AI ecosystem. This role serves as the central control tower for the organization's AI portfolio, maintaining the authoritative inventory of AI assets and agent identities, governing the registration and sanctioning process for new AI solutions, monitoring adoption and usage trends, and ensuring compliance with enterprise policies, governance requirements, and applicable AI regulations including the EU AI Act. 

 

The role owns the processes, reporting, and operational frameworks that answer critical enterprise questions such as: What AI assets exist? Who owns them? How are they being used? What do they cost? Are they compliant? While closely aligned with the Unified AI Governance workstream, this position functions as the operational interface between AI enablement teams, business stakeholders, Finance, Security, Privacy, Legal, and Governance functions.

 

This position does not own AI product development, platform engineering, or business value chain. Instead, it provides the visibility, governance orchestration, scorecard reporting, cost attribution, risk management coordination, and inventory management capabilities necessary to enable responsible, scalable AI adoption across the enterprise.

 

The role manages governance-related activities across multiple AI platforms, agents, copilots, and automation solutions while ensuring accurate reporting, accountability, and operational readiness. The position influences enterprise governance standards, supports leadership decision-making through executive reporting, and drives continuous improvement of AI governance and control processes.

What will you do?

Own Enterprise AI Inventory and Asset Registry

Maintain the enterprise inventory of AI assets, including agent discovery, registration, ownership tracking, lifecycle management, and usage visibility. Surface shadow and unsanctioned AI. Ensure Ensure accurate reporting of active, dormant, orphaned, and retired AI solutions across the organization.

 

Govern AI Registration, Sanctioning, and Approval Processes

Manage AI registration, risk classification, approval workflows, and production sanctioning processes. Coordinate reviews across Security, Privacy, Legal, Compliance, and Governance teams to ensure solutions meet enterprise requirements prior to deployment.

 

Deliver Enterprise AI Cost Transparency and Financial Visibility

Provide reporting and insights into AI-related spending, including licensing, subscriptions, cloud consumption, platform costs, and token utilization. Partner with Finance on cost attribution methodology, maturing from showback to chargeback as attribution coverage and invoice reconciliation reach an agreed quality threshold. Monitor trends and support leadership decision-making through cost and usage analysis.
 

 

Own Enterprise AI Scorecards and Executive Reporting

Develop and maintain enterprise AI scorecards and dashboards that provide visibility into adoption, usage, governance status, inventory health, compliance, and spend. Deliver executive-ready reporting to support decision-making.

 

Compliance, and Post-Deployment Monitoring

Facilitate policy compliance, risk classification, exception management, and cross-functional review processes. Coordinate Privacy, Legal, Security, and Compliance reviews and ensure risks are documented, tracked, and escalated appropriately. Define reassessment triggers and monitoring cadence for deployed AI, and coordinate AI incident escalation.

 

Manage AI Asset Lifecycle, Dormancy, and Retirement Processes

Monitor dormant or orphaned AI assets, recommend retirement actions, and support portfolio cleanup. Maintain visibility into approved use policies, sanctioned platforms, policy exceptions, and audit readiness activities.

 

Administer AI Governance Methodologies and Process Improvement
Maintain value measurement methodologies, evidence standards, and governance frameworks aligned to recognized standards such as NIST AI RMF and ISO/IEC 42001. Continuously improve inventory management, reporting, compliance monitoring, and governance processes to support responsible AI adoption.

Minimum Education & Requirements

Experience

  • 5-8 years of experience in governance, compliance, operational oversight, portfolio management, or enterprise technology programs.
  • Experience managing or administering reporting, scorecards, dashboards, inventory management, or operational performance metrics.
  • Knowledge of AI and technology governance frameworks (NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001), risk management practices, compliance processes, privacy requirements, and policy enforcement.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives involving technology, business, finance, legal, security, compliance, and governance stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and process management skills with the ability to synthesize large volumes of operational, financial, and governance data into actionable insights.

 

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Privacy, Data Analytics, Compliance, Information Systems, Risk Management, Technology, or a related field.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $114.640 to $143.300 per year. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of job‑related factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skill set, education, and training. In addition to a market-competitive base salary, our Total Rewards package includes performance‑based incentives and a comprehensive, competitive benefits package designed to support overall physical, mental, and financial well‑being (as applicable).
