Future Opportunities Intern Finance (Summer 2025)

Finance Undergrad Internship
The Hershey Company is seeking to fill multiple undergraduate-level summer intern positions across a variety of functions within our Finance organization.
Summer intern positions require a full-time (40 hours / week) commitment for 11 weeks in Summer 2025, and performance will be calibrated at the end of the summer. Successful interns may be considered for full time employment after completion of their college degree.
Final assignments will depend on business needs. Potential areas / departments hiring undergraduate-level intern candidates include:
Internal Audit
- Participate in SOX control testing and internal audit assurance and/or advisory reviews under the supervision of experienced senior level members of the Internal Audit department
- Learn Hershey’s business processes, interact with leaders across the organization and obtain a more solid understanding of Internal Audit and SOX 404 methodologies
- Experience obtained may qualify as “attest experience” for purposes of meeting CPA licensure
Customer Finance
- Provides analysis, commentaries, and supporting schedules that detail & summarize the financial performance of customers
- Communicate with sales representatives and independently follow up on their requests
- Use a business warehouse application in support of the trade promotion process and analysis activities
- Leverages productivity tools to compile data into actionable formats that influence smart decisions
- Assists Customer Finance personnel and customer teams to build their annual plan
- Assists Customer Finance Analysts, Senior Analysts and Managers in their monthly close activities
- Engage in aspects of customer waste reduction initiatives
Supply Chain Finance
- Lead in the continued evolution of supply chain finance analytics, working to unlock analyses and standardize them in a way that can be easily repeated
- Improving analytic capabilities to drive better decision making, increased forecast accuracy and efficiency, and potential identification of continuous improvement projects
- Data analysis, meeting facilitation, interaction with multiple commercial and finance functions to drive actions to completion
External Reporting
- Assist the team in pension/401k audits (timeframe would see beginning to end process) - e.g., track client assistance list and tie-out financial statements.
- Assist the team during Q2 2025 Form 10-Q preparation and EY review (timeframe would see beginning to end process) - e.g., generate workpapers, tie-out financial statements.
- Assist in select monthly close processes such as journal entries and reconciliations.
Corporate FP&A
- 2026 Plan preparation; template optimization
- 2026 Benefit Book headcount preparation
- SG&A process documentation on forecasting and actual results
- Create a process and tool to audit Miscellaneous Expenses every month

Minimum Education Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program, entering your Junior or Senior year as of Summer 2025; majors in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration and Economics are highly preferred
- Preference will be given to students with a GPA of 3.2 or higher
Additional Preferences:
- Reliable transportation to and from work, and ability to commute to or relocate to Hershey, PA for the duration of the internship assignment
