The Information Services department at The Hershey Company has open internships for analytically minded, tech-savvy undergraduate and graduate students. OPPORTUNITIES:

We are looking for a Security Engineering Intern for Hershey’s Information Security team. Security Engineering’s responsibility is to design, build, and continuously improve a defensible network for The Hershey Company. The team enables the technologies supporting Hershey’s global Cyber Fusion Center and ensures the continued protection of Hershey’s network against the latest threats.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of network defensibility.
• Design, build, and deploy security capabilities and platforms.
• Plan, research, and develop security standards and procedures.
• Prepare documentation for system designs and processes.
• Collaborate with operational teams to ensure system and process excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Firm understanding of foundational network and security concepts
• Pro-active self-starter with a desire to make an impact
• Courage to challenge the status quo and take smart risks
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
• Passion for analytical problem solving
• Quick learner through formal and self-guided education
• Ability to work in teams or individually

EDUCATION:

• GPA of 3.3 or higher preferred
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with quantitative, STEM focus (e.g., Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Psychology - other degrees will be considered).
