Position Title: Manager, Consolidations & Statutory Reporting
Reporting to: Corporate Controller

Role Summary:
The Manager, Consolidations & Statutory Reporting will be an essential member of the Chief Accounting Officer & Controllership team and be responsible for overseeing the consolidation and reporting of financial results for the Company, ensuring accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and timely delivery of financial statements. In addition, this role will provide support for Hershey’s international teams with a focus on statutory reporting requirements. This individual will bring a unique skillset in internal controls, policy management, financial reporting, accounting and governance that will be critical to accomplishing the Company’s initiatives and objectives in a standard and well controlled manner.
Supporting the Corporate Controller, this position will serve as a strategic member of the Controllership leadership team and will work closely with our FDS and HBP teams, as well as External Reporting, Internal Audit, International finance teams and external auditors (EY) to ensure accurate reporting/disclosure and full compliance with all external standards..
Role Responsibilities:

Consolidation Process, Audit & Internal Control:

Develop regular and effective education and awareness on the purpose of internal controls and need/value of reporting process.
- Lead the consolidation process for the Company's financial statements, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of results, including eliminating intercompany transactions, preparing cash flow statements, currency revaluation and translation and business unit reviews.
- Maintain up-to-date financial policies for select processes (including risk assessment activities), and ensure those policies are communicated effectively across the organization.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis of consolidated financial statements, identifying trends, variances, and potential areas of improvement. Provide insights and recommendations based on the analysis.
- Partners with controls owners to remediate any control deficiencies; streamline and simplify controls where possible; and ensure controls are performed and documented correctly.

Project Management and Review Processes:
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with US GAAP and other relevant accounting standards. Collaborate with external auditors during the audit process.
- Responsible for the financial reporting governance over the core financial statements, management reporting, Non-GAAP financial results and legal entity reporting.
- Continuous improvement of accounting processes, including the reduction of manual journal entries, simplification and quality enhancement of account reconciliations.

Global Regulatory and Technical Accounting:
- Provide financial expertise and oversight to the international business unit controllers, ensuring statutory and US GAAP compliance is met.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory reporting requirements, including the preparation and submission of financial statements, footnotes, and other required disclosures. Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulatory guidelines to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Liaison with the External Reporting & Technical Accounting department to monitor pending and new accounting and regulatory standards (SEC and international) and determination of potential impacts on the Company and related disclosures, while acting as a subject matter expert on US GAAP and SEC regulations.
- Maintain appropriate industry expertise and technical knowledge and communicate effectively to partners in non-technical language.

Assist on special projects and ad hoc assignments / analyses, as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:
- Prior experience in public accounting (e.g., Big 4) with experience auditing SEC registrants or work experience with a SEC registrant
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience, including meeting facilitation and presentations
- Excellent project management and organizational skills with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- SAP, Group Reporting, BlackLine and Workiva software/tools required
- Demonstrates professional judgment and high standards for quality and attention to detail
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with CPA license required.
- 8+ years of relevant experience, including public accounting (e.g., Big 4) with experience auditing SEC registrants or work experience with a SEC registrant.
