Summary of Role:

Insights leader owning end to end, holistic insights agenda and key stakeholder wiring for Functional BU and M&A.   Drives deep consumer, shopper and marketplace intelligence to fuel growth strategy for Functional BU and M&A initiatives.  Partners with Director, Salty, Functional & M&A Insights to drive and execute insights agenda for brand level demand creation strategies and brand equity

 

 

 

 

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Demand Creation Strategy: idea generation, innovation pipeline optimization & validation, audience identification and definitions, design to value
  2. Brand Equity: Deep in market performance understanding and analytics (portfolio and brand level), translation of Brand Health tracking to results, Creative/Comms idea generation, optimization and validation
  3. Foundational Insights: Contributes to portfolio-wide insights and other foundational learnings
  4. M&A: Drive M&A overarching agenda with consumer and category insights; lead full consumer, shopper and marketplace insights and implications for potential acquisition targets; Provide linkage of M&A strategy and insights to core business units
  5. Budget Management: Leads partnership with Marketing ops to ensure balanced and accurate insights budget for Functional & M&A Insights
  6. Level of influence requires frequent and meaningful interaction with Functional DCS, Functional Brand team and M&A team.
  7. Partner with Commercial Intelligence and Business Intelligence teams for additional inputs across insights functions.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Desired knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Advanced understanding of insights tools, datasets and capabilities to contribute to holistic approach to meaningful insights generation (consumer, shopper, analytics, trends)
  • Ability to integrate across data sources and drive to clear, actionable and breakthrough insights that will guide decision making and future growth
  • Strategic framing and communication, proven ability to communicate and influence with compelling insights and clear recommendations
  • Strong collaborator and ability to build dynamic relationships with internal and external partners

 

 

 

 

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

  • Education –
    • Bachelor’s degree in required; advanced degrees preferred but not necessary
  • Experience –
    • 5-7 years of experience in Shopper, Consumer and/or Analytical (e.g., Business Intelligence, Category Management) Insights
