Job Title: Manager, Product Lifecycle Management
Job Location: Hershey, PA (Hybrid)
Summary:
The Hershey Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Information Technology group is charged with providing critical system capabilities focused on Product Data Management (PDM) technologies to the business. The individual will lead a diverse group of dedicated and talented individuals as well as collaborate with various cross-functional teams across the enterprise.
Major Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead internal and external teams, ensuring success through mentoring, development, and innovative thought leadership as well as iterate and evolve the systems & capabilities that drive Product Lifecycle Management
- Document system architecture plans and describe how the architecture aligns with business strategy. Research and evaluate best practices and emerging technology, industry, and market trends to drive optimization of delivered solutions. Engage in product, technology, and vendor evaluations and benchmarking activities
- Collaborate with business partners to define, manage and deliver projects & capabilities that drive business strategy within the Product Lifecycle Management space.
- Lead the support and operations of the Product Lifecycle Management systems landscape
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Analytical Acumen:
- The ability to frame up, simplify, translate, and solve complex problems, finding root causes and hidden problems. Able to think holistically to understand the broader implications in an evolving PLM landscape and how it can drive commercial and operational capabilities.
Business Acumen:
- Demonstrates understanding of commercial, operational, financial, and people aspects of the business. Understands business strategy and can shape it into clear functional requirements & solution designs.
- Understanding of Product Lifecycle Management business processes
Social Acumen:
- Able to foster strong business relationships with partners across various functions of the enterprise
- Able to successfully influence and interact with partners at various levels (i.e. Manager, Director, VP)
Technical Acumen:
- The ability to understand system processes within the PLM landscape
- Able to translate complex technical processes into business terminology
- Able to adapt and learn new technologies
- Knowledge and experience in SAP PLM, SAP S/4 HANA is a plus
- Experience with various middleware and integration technologies is a plus
- Pro-active self-starter with a desire to excel
- Strong and communication (written & oral) skills
- Passion for analytical problem solving
- Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment
- Ability to work in teams or individually
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree with STEM focus (Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems/Management, or closely related field)
Experience:
- 2+ years’ work experience in technologies and practice related to Product Lifecycle Management.
- 2+ years’ experience managing high visibility projects
- 3+ years’ experience leading and working with cross-functional teams, communicating across organizations at all management levels and engaging in innovative research and thought for optimized outcomes.
- 3+ years’ experience with enterprise ERP technologies and practices
- 3+ years’ experience in support and maintenance of IT systems/solutions
- CPG industry experience a plus
