Job Title:            Manager, Commercial IS Strategy & Process


Job Location:     Hershey, PA


This position is open to 100% remote.




The Manager, Commercial IS Strategy & Process is responsible for developing and managing the multi-year strategic capability plans and supporting processes for HSY’s Commercial business teams (Commercial Planning, Sales, Retail Execution, Category Management, Digital Marketing, and Digital Commerce). This includes translating current and future business needs and opportunities, developing strategic frameworks and capability roadmaps, and identifying potential technology solutions to meet business requirements/needs.


Major Duties/Responsibilities:           


Strategic Planning – Develop multi-year strategic technology plans, budgets, and roadmaps for the U.S. Commercial business and actively manage/adjust through cross-functional collaboration.

Opportunity Sensing – Participate in leadership meetings and strategy sessions to help identify solutions that deliver against commercial plans. Support the business through engagement, research and pilot/proof-of-concept work as needed.

Financial Management – Effectively plan and oversee annual Commercial technology financial plans while actively managing through spending challenges, unforeseen critical needs, and identifying opportunities for ROI enhancements.

Team Development – Continually develop team members, both direct and indirect, to expand and grow experience and careers across the Commercial IS organization and the Enterprise. Provide constructive and actionable feedback on leadership behaviors while driving results within team and searching for opportunities to grow, improve, and gain organizational efficiency.

Minimum Education Requirements:


  • B.S. in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field


Minimum Experience Requirements:


  • 5-7 years of work experience with a combination of IS development/operations, commercial business, analytics, and other technology-focused roles
  • Demonstrated experience in effective interactions with senior executives in a large Fortune 500 company
  • Experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) is required
  • Demonstrated experience with Cloud technologies
  • Consistent ability to build relationships and leverage partners and advisors
  • Ability to move easily between big picture thinking and managing strategic vs. tactical details
  • International business experience a plus
