Summary: 

The Materials Planner ensures the timely availability of materials required for production and maintains optimal inventory levels. This role is critical in the supply chain, working closely with procurement, production, and logistics teams to maintain a seamless flow of materials.



Responsibilities:

1.Develop and maintain materials requirement plans to ensure timely material availability for production.
2.Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve supply issues.
3.Analyze consumption patterns to forecast material requirements and optimize inventory levels.
4.Identify and implement process improvements in materials planning and inventory management.
5.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align on material needs and strategies.

•Level of interaction with internal stakeholders: Procurement, Production Plants, Supply Planning, Manufacturing, Suppliers
•Level of influence / impact: High impact on ensuring production continuity and optimizing inventory levels



Qualifications: 

•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•Proficiency in ERP systems and inventory management software
•Excellent communication and negotiation skills
•Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
•Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is a plus


Education & Experience: 

•Experience: 1-3 years of experience in materials planning or supply chain management
•Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (Desirable)
•Other Qualifications: Certification ISM / APICS or working towards (Desirable)
