Role Overview

A strategic communications professional responsible for developing data-driven content strategies and leading thought leadership initiatives that support a compelling, differentiated company narrative. This role emphasizes developing content strategies by applying audience insights to enhance internal and external thought leadership initiatives across a variety of channels including presentations, videos, social media, and other digital platforms. The manager will contribute to editorial strategy, lead communications planning, execution and measurement as part of a collaborative team, with primary focus on external audience-driven, results-focused business narratives aligned with commercial priorities. The role requires strong project management, stakeholder relationship management, and expertise across internal and external communications channels.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Strategic Content Planning & Insights

  • Lead creation and execution of editorial, content engagement, and social media strategies based on audience insights and data analytics
  • Develop comprehensive communications strategies spanning internal, external, and change communications initiatives
  • Create strategic linkages between content initiatives and business objectives to drive measurable outcomes

 

Content Development & Management

  • Lead creation of written, verbal, and visual communications across multiple formats and platforms
  • Manage content strategy for executive social media accounts, internal and external-facing websites, and digital platforms
  • Oversee branding consistency across agency projects, media initiatives, and consumer-facing content
  • Develop content frameworks that support both internal alignment and external thought leadership positioning

 

Executive & Thought Leadership Communications

  • Lead external thought leadership initiatives that position company executives and subject matter experts as industry leaders
  • Execute executive social media strategies that amplify business priorities and enhance corporate reputation
  • Create internal communications that align employees to strategy, culture, and organizational priorities
  • Develop content that translates complex business concepts into compelling narratives for diverse stakeholder groups

 

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

  • Lead alignment of cross-functional stakeholders around communications initiatives and content approval processes
  • Provide consultation on communications best practices, tools, and emerging digital trends
  • Build consensus across internal teams and external partners to ensure cohesive messaging and brand consistency
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to support content strategy objectives

Minimum Qualifications

 

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, public policy, social sciences, or related field

 

Experience

  • Minimum 5-8 years of work experience in communications
  • Focus on one or more of the following areas would be advantageous:
    • Communications strategy and content development
    • Executive communications and social media strategy
    • Thought leadership program development
    • Public policy communications
    • Marketing communications
    • Media relations and digital content strategy
