This is a part-time position located in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The company will not provide relocation assistance or other employment benefits for this position.

 

Event Hosts support the Group Sales and Events function of Hershey’s Chocolate World. This position collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure all meetings, events, and group events are executed flawlessly and that each guest has an exceptional experience in our facility.

 

Major Duties/Responsibilities:   

  • Point of contact for scheduled meetings, events, and birthday parties
  • Greet guests upon arrival and always provide exceptional customer service
  • Coordinate group and events within the facility and organize group activities across divisional levels to ensure a seamless experience
  • Execute all external group and events in collaboration with each cross-functional department
  • Ensure day-of-bookings are prepared and set up in advance to executes a flawless experience
  • Engage with guests and resolve issues that arise
  • Participate in the set up and tear-down of each event
  • Collaborate with the Ticketing and Attractions team to ensure preparation for scheduled groups
  • Work closely with the Group Sales team to execute group itineraries
  • Communicate itinerary changes to each Attraction team

 

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:   

  • Excellent verbal and written communications and customer service skills
  • Must be comfortable with public speaking
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to interact with all levels of people
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to work with large crowds in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be comfortable handling money transactions
  • Ability to react quickly and remain calm in special/crisis situations
  • Ability to tolerate repetitive motion of the hands, fingers, and wrists when keyboarding
  • Must be approachable, showing that our guests are our priority
  • Must initiate contact with our guests by being courteous and greeting them with a smile
  • Must be willing to listen to our guests and provide for their needs
  • Must provide a genuine Thank You to every guest

 

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:   

  • Education:  High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred but not required
  • Experience:  1 year of customer service experience is preferred but not required
