Hourly Pay Rate:  $16.00 or more based on experience

Availability:  Requires availability to work daytime, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts

This is a Part-Time position located in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The company will not provide relocation assistance or other employment benefits for this position. 

The part-time Utility Ride Sanitation Attendant position brings our passion for the legacy of the Hershey’s brand to life at Hershey’s Chocolate World. HCW is about creating moments of happiness and there is no better way to do so than by being a part of a retail business that leverages and features our iconic brands.  The primary responsibility of the part-time Utility Tour Ride Sanitation Attendant is responsible for the day-to-day operation of tour ride cleaning.

A Utility Ride Sanitation Attendant is responsible for driving results through:

• Delivery of an exceptional guest service experience
• Communicating appropriate behaviors to the team to enhance the guest experience and support our culture
• Maintaining compliance with HCW policies and procedures

The Utility Ride Sanitation Attendant works within the Utility Department of Hershey’s Chocolate World to maintain the general appearance and sanitation needs of the Hershey’s Chocolate Tour Ride. This position is designed for a motivated, team-oriented, independent, and responsible individual who works well with minimal supervision. Task-specific training will be provided, and safety guidelines must be followed.  The required skills will be learned primarily through on–the-job training.

 Summary of Major Duties/Responsibilities:

Ensure facility sanitation meets the high-quality standards established by Hershey’s Chocolate World

Perform general cleaning tasks to include, but not limited to trash removal, cleaning, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces

Moping, dusting, sweeping, of the tour ride track, cars, sets

Cleaning under the ride track involving sweeping, mopping, degreasing

Observe and report any safety problems and concerns both inside and outside Hershey’s Chocolate Tour

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:

• Must maintain a neat appearance and meet the uniform standards
• Must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry 25-50 pounds
• Must be able to walk or stand for 4-6 hours
• Must be comfortable in tight spaces
• This role will require bending, stooping, twisting, climbing, and crawling
• This role requires repetitive motion of the hands, fingers, and wrists when using various equipment
• Must be able to work at a fast pace and remain focused, accurate and efficient
• Overhead lifting may be required
• Attention to detail
• Ability to collaborate across the organization with other departments
• Ability to organize and handle multiple tasks
• Ability to excel in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Problem solving skills
• General utility or cleaning related knowledge a plus
• Proven ability to create a positive work environment around teamwork and motivation
• Time management skills through a sense of urgency, delegation, ability to prioritize tasks/projects, and empowerment to problem solve
• Must have basic math skills (add/subtract inventory)

Education: No formal education is required

Experience: Previous custodial experience is preferred by not required
