Project Manager

Job Location: Hershey, PA

ROLE OVERVIEW
The Project Manager – Supply Chain Hershey Digital Factory will manage projects, of varying size and complexity across the Hershey Digital Factory Initiative including Connected Worker, Unified Namespace, Manufacturing Execution System, Augmented and Automated Decision Making, other projects identified under the Hershey Digital Factory initiative. The Project Manager will have responsibilities for the entire project lifecycle from planning through closure including all supporting activities. This includes, but is not limited to, project approval, procurement; and the management of schedule, resources, risk, quality and financials.  Awareness and management of project inter-dependencies within the Hershey Digital Factory Initiative is also a responsibility. 

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Lead Hershey Digital Factory related projects working with partner or contract PM’s. Role will ensure compliance to Hershey’s Engineering Project Management methodologies.
• Expectation to deliver projects on time, within budget with high quality by utilizing the appropriate project management methodology.
• Partner with business, engineering, and IS leadership and teams to understand PMO methodology and process and adhere to engineering standards.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders affected by Hershey’s Digital Factory Initiative including up to the executive level.
• Manage 3-5 projects at once.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience with factory floor manufacturing operations in the food and beverage industry.
• Strong experience in IT / OT systems development and deployment.
• Proven experience working directly with project stakeholders including senior leadership, and ability to communicate technical content in understandable ways.
• Ability to work in high-pace environment while managing numerous priorities.
• Knowledge and demonstrated experience in project management methodology as recognized by PMI, waterfall and agile/hybrid project management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage several projects simultaneously in an organized, effective manner
• Strong leadership skills capable of managing diverse, distributed teams (onshore, offshore, remote) to successfully deliver project outcomes
• Strong relationship skills and communication skills and ability to manage to executive leadership as well as managing large teams without formal authority, leading by influence and negotiating with vendors and other leadership.

Experience & Education
Bachelor’s Degree in a business or technical field.
5+ years of project management experience
Strong knowledge in waterfall project delivery methodologies with solid knowledge in agile/hybrid project delivery methodologies.
Current PMP certification strongly preferred
