Job Title: Senior Analyst Transportation-Salty Snacks

Summary:

 

 

The Senior Transportation Analyst is a key part of the Transportation Operations team tasked with driving process & capability improvements across Salty Snack’s transportation function. The position requires collaboration with internal stakeholders, manufacturing alliance partners, 3PL transportation planning provider, carrier & distribution partners to deliver & improve enterprise service & on-time delivery targets through project-based work & operations management.

 

 

 

Major Duties/Responsibilities:

 

 

 

  • Provide guidance & oversite of the co-manufacturing / co-packer shipping process, ensuring trailer availability, successful shuttle & intra-facility shipments to DCs & delivery of intermediate items to driver service & top line goals.
  • Manage & provide guidance to facilitate issue resolutions related to Salty Snacks facility deliveries, pickups at vendor locations and/or issues with Salty Snacks contracted carriers; issues may occur between 3PL, Salty Snacks customers, Salty Snacks Global Shared Services, Salty Snacks contracted Co-packers/ Co-manufacturers, Vendor/Suppliers and/or Transportation Carrier Partners
  • Generate, recommend and/or implement suggestions for continuous improvement & new capabilities, tools, or systems related to transportation function (e.g., efficient processing of orders, carrier selection, data flow, customer issue resolution, communication between 3PL Logistics Solution Provider and Salty Snacks, distribution operations, internal shipments, alliance partner, e-commerce).
  • Transportation lead for manufacturing plant projects that impact transportation, trailers yards, warehouse / storage modifications, etc.
  • Transportation subject matter expert for enterprise projects aimed at improving systems, efficiency, cost, etc.
  • Standardize ways of working with carriers, co-mans, co-packers.
  • Lead/support numerous change management projects to support launch of new ERP system.

 

 

 

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

 

 

 

Education:

 

 

  • BS degree in Business, Logistics/Supply Chain/Engineering or equivalent preferred

 

 

 

 

Experience:

 

 

  • 4-6 years experience in Logistics with a working knowledge in shipment planning, transportation, distribution, and customer service.
