Senior Director International Chief Growth Officer

Note: This position can be based in Hershey, PA or hybrid and requires 30%-40% travel. 

 

The Senior Director International Chief Growth Officer will provide leadership and support to the President International and General Managers across the International business to drive profitable growth. This role will play a pivotal role in driving the overall growth strategy of International, influencing key areas such as strategy, marketing, digital and innovation. This role will provide valuable insights for the company’s strategic decision-making. Additionally, it will support in the evaluation of potential International M&A opportunities.

Major Duties/Responsibilities: 

Lead Growth Strategy Development and Implementation:

  • Lead the development and implementation of Marketing, M&A, and International growth strategies to achieve the company's short-term and long-term objectives.
  • Harnessing insights from data and research to drive informed decision-making.
  • Providing analysis and thought leadership for International M&A strategy.
  • Responsible for leading international Strat Process and driving internal alignment for the Plan.
  • Establish roadmap of continuous improvement efforts across the international organization to build capabilities to enable our strategies.
  • Leverage external trends to proactively anticipate risks to our current strategy to pivot as needed.

Lead Marketing and Digital Branding:

  • Leadership of the Hershey International Digital Marketing strategy to include; development of strategy and plan, building capabilities, identifying the right partners, execution, content creation, etc..
  • Work with internal and external partners to address capability gaps and create scale across country marketing efforts.
  • Drive branding and communication consistency across the world and support the development of positioning, media planning, and communication.
  • Jointly manage portfolio strategy with with all international markets.
  • Accountable for market share gains and consumer brand metrics delivery.

Lead Innovation Strategy and Plan:

  • Develop and execute the innovation strategy; identifying new market /white space opportunities.
  • Lead efforts to drive innovation scale across International to enable our growth ambitions.
  • Provide strategic input to identify and incubate the next set of growth levers/platform for International.
  • Provide coaching and Innovation training for International marketing organization and share & reapply opportunities amongst the countries.

 

Skills & Capabilities Required

•    Strong analysis skills and the ability to make speedy recommendations with scenario planning while anticipating the future.

•    Strong communication/listening skills, and ability to influence decision making.

•    Knowledge of key operating personnel in THC and established contact network.

•    Ability to successfully handle multiple projects at the same time and meet deadlines; manage a team to meet deadlines.

•    Strong business acumen & winning mindset while having a good understanding of customers.

•    Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbally); influences and stimulates others to action with directive leadership skills to ensure business results are achieved.

•    Results-focused, innovative and creative problem-solver with the ability to engage commitment from others.

•    Ability to effectively lead a team.

 

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: 

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Experience: 15+ years’ experience in marketing, preferably CPG with some international experience
