Summary: 

 

The Senior Manager of Agile Strategy & Delivery is a value focused leader within the PMO CoE that brings deep expertise in overseeing transformation initiatives, improving operations to enable the organization and enacting change.

 

This position is responsible for leading and developing a team with members embedded in the organization for agile delivery and working centrally that are accountable for collectively driving the Agile Strategy for the organization, owning and evolving Agile methodology, driving communication and awareness, and enabling leadership and the organization to successfully deliver value.

 

The Senior Manager of Agile Strategy & Delivery is an expert in Agile methodologies, frameworks and ways of working. Responsible for working with IS and the business in the creation of successful agile delivery teams at Hershey. Ensuring teams are adopting agile principles, values, mindset and ways of working. Be a key leader in the creation of the strategy, the Agile Roadmap, and the execution plan for the Agile Transformation. They will serve as an “evangelist” and change management leader across the broader organization as Hershey transitions to Agile Ways of Working.  The position is accountable for building and leading a team of delivery leaders, PMO delivery consultants and Agile professionals.

 

  • Partner with PMO COE peers, PMO Portfolio Managers, IS Solution Managers/Leaders and Business/Product Owners, Product Managers, and Business Sponsors to ensure there  is a clear understanding of the Agile Strategy, Agile roles & responsibilities, Agile knowledge/training, ways of working, established working agreements and full transparency into Agile  at Hershey.
  • Act as an organizational Agile and Transformational Delivery Champion and change agent through the encouragement, education and communication of benefits of Agile and the structure  needed to sustain the transformation throughout Hershey.
  • Partnering with IS and business functions to improve the operating model and deliver the agile values of speed, productivity, quality, customer centricity and efficiency.
  • Partnering with IS and business functions review, recommend and establish the best Agile Delivery model(s) for Hershey.
  • Lead Agile initiatives to help with adoption and embed new ways of working & mindset within the organization
  • Driving progress and promoting a culture of transparency and empowerment
  • Helping to anticipate and resolve potential blockers for the organization
  • Providing input to key communications and supporting adoption of Agile culture
  • Partner with the PMO Methodology and Tools team in the development of Agile processes and standards for Agile delivery. Provide feedback and suggestions  for improvement in the use of tools used for Agile planning and delivery.
  • Establish the key Value Streams/KPIs and OKRs to measure the results of transitioning to Agile and align with Hershey’s Enterprise Portfolio measures.
  • Act as SME on transformational strategy and the delivery models for portfolios, programs, products and projects at Hershey.
  • Act as key stakeholder for IS PMO Center of Excellence on the Project Management Community of Practice and Agile Community of Practice

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

 

Education:        

 

  • BS/BA in IS/IT, Project/Program Management or Product Management Required; Master’s in Business, Project/Program/Product Management preferred.
  • PMP Required
  • Scaled Agile Certifications preferred

 

Experience:       

 

  • 8+ years professional experience in PMO & IS Delivery
  • Agile methodology experience is required; Certification required from recognized Agile Org (PMI, Scaled Agile, Scrum.Org or Scrum Alliance) 
  • 3+ years as Certified Agile Coach preferred;
  • 3+ years of experience transforming operating models and enabling/managing organizational change required.  Certified Change Management Practitioner preferred.
  • Proven success in effective communication across all levels of the organization, with the ability to influence key stakeholders and build champion network
  • Experience building and leading high functioning and multi-disciplined Agile teams; leadership role in an Agile transformation required.
  • Good understanding of technology enabled business transformation, Organizational transformation, and delivering enterprise-level IT
