The Hershey International Team (global excluding USA) is on a journey to double our business over the next 10-years by bringing more moments of goodness around the world through our great products and experiences. You can join the heart of it all as part of the Hershey International Strategy and Marketing team (ISM) working with partners all around the world to drive strategy & performance, build global brands and deliver consumer centric products & innovation!
The Role
Strategy & Business Management is a critical function at the company, responsible for shaping and partnering to build holistic growth plans across key regions, acting as a trusted advisor to the Hershey International Leadership Team, helping teams deliver their business ambitions and ultimately driving our purpose of More Moments of Goodness and ambition to be a Leading Snacking Powerhouse.
As a member of the Hershey International Strategy and Marketing team, the Sr. Manager International Strategy & Business Management is accountable for supporting our growth journey through futureproofing with global insights, strategic planning and performance management. They will lead critical strategic planning and analysis of commercial/growth levers for Hershey International. They will partner with global teams to build and deliver strong and competitive consumer and financial growth plans. They will be involved in setting up the business for success through active involvement and optimization of business performance management processes.
This individual will need to be an expert in strategic thinking, direction setting, and complex problem solving to enable Hershey’s holistic growth agenda for the enterprise. He/she will advise senior executives as a trusted thought leader and collaborate across business units and functions to drive strategy to action. He/she will oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously and will need to operate at both a detailed, analytical level and a broad, strategic level.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead planning and execution of the 3-year Enterprise Strategic plan annually
• Own and execute strategy projects that are cross-functional in scope, with minimal oversight
• Manage, develop, and mentor direct and indirect reports
• Leading complex problem solving; analyze and synthesize large sets of data from multiple sources, formulate/ validate hypotheses and make business recommendations
• Develop executive-level presentations (International and regional leadership, Executive Committee updates, Board presentations, external speaking engagements, etc.)
• Be recognized as an established leader and consultative partner amongst senior leaders
Ideal Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or equivalent marketplace experience highly preferred
• 6+ years of combined experience in leading CPG company or strategic consulting firm
• Strong understanding of financial metrics and P&L fundamentals
• Experience leading strategic and data-driven recommendations and decisions, and driving change in a complex business environment
• Direct or project-based experience in commercial and growth functions
• Independent, self-driven, solutions-oriented, holistic thinker
