Senior Manager, Shopper Solutions, Small Format

Summary
The Senior Manager, Shopper Solutions - Small Format is a key member of the sales team whose role responsibilities are focused on strategic growth for the assigned COT including creation, implementation, and financial management of portfolio and merchandising solutions. This role will also include the direct leadership and development of three team members.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Customer Specific Portfolio and Merchandising:
• Own the creation and/or management of customer specific merchandising and portfolio solutions including business case development and Accolade management including P&L management, including core packs, strategic brands, and anchor events.
• Develop, maintain, and leverage key cross functional relationships in Sales, Supply Chain, Planning, Marketing, Category Leadership, Operations, Packaging, Finance, Research, and external partners to ensure shopper solutions are best suited to the goals of driving effective activation, revenue, and profit.
• Proactively identify customer needs and solutions across the everyday, promotional, and seasonal businesses and work alongside internal teams to deliver solutions synergistic with customer specific strategies that drive incremental shelf space, secondary display locations and revenue/share gains while minimizing internal complexity and cost.
• Maintain close connectivity with the Retail and Sales team to be consistently aware of market and competitive conditions in-store; being as proactive as possible to recognize areas of concern or new opportunities
• Partner with sales teams to co-present solutions to customers on an on-needed basis
Customer Planning
• Remain actively involved with customer teams planning processes and meetings to portfolio and merchandising needs and holistic solutions that satisfy customer opportunities and meet internal hurdles and timelines.
• Maintain connectivity to other Shopper Solutions Managers to share best practices and prevent duplication in custom development.
• Lead and represent Sales team on merchandising related, ad hoc projects such as Retail Ready Packaging, Merchandising Transformation, shopper insights, waste initiatives etc. as needed.
Business and Financial Management
• Ability to interpret and analyze syndicated and shopper data to identify opportunities and make fact-based strategic recommendations as well as stay up to date on trends, forward-looking forecasts, and consumer needs
•Advocate for smart customer-specific solutions across internal teams and leadership to best support the team’s growth strategies in-line with company goals
• Actively manage customers’ portfolio and merchandising solutions to drive financial effectiveness across topline and bottom-line goals including the evaluation of portfolio rationalization.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience: 8+ years’ experience in Sales, Category Management, and/or Marketing
Customer-facing and relevant channel experience preferred
