Summary:

We are seeking a strategic leader to join our team as Senior Manager, Corporate Strategy. In this high-impact role, you will drive strategic thinking and problem-solving to shape and accelerate bringing Hershey’s Leading Snacking Powerhouse vision to life. You will lead multiple enterprise-critical initiatives, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and senior leaders. You will need to be able to operate both at a detailed, analytical level and as an influential voice and emerging company leader. Responsibilities: 

  • Assess, refine, and develop Hershey’s portfolio and growth strategies – clarifying long-term direction while identifying and accelerating near-term opportunities, particularly those beyond our core business or requiring new capabilities 
  • Lead enterprise priority projects, as identified in coordination with Hershey’s Executive Committee  
  • Develop executive-level presentations for CEO and Executive Committee (EC updates, Board presentations, select external speaking engagements, etc.) 
  • Partner across the organization to align and accelerate strategic initiatives, e.g., 
  • Collaborating with M&A team to identify opportunities aligned to enterprise strategy  
  • Integrating corporate and sustainability strategies 
  • Working with Investor Relations to align external messaging with internal strategies  
  • Working with Consumer Insights to surface insights and implications from macro-trends to inform company strategic direction  
  • Supporting Strategic Planning with Hershey Enterprise Strategy and Finance  
  • Work closely with the CEO and Executive Committee to set priorities, manage EC operating rhythms (including management of agenda for key Executive Committee meetings and quarterly Executive Committee offsites), and improve EC decision-making & effectiveness   

 

Skills:  

  • Strategic Problem Solving: Strong analytical and structured thinking; ability to frame complex problems, generate hypotheses, and use data to inform clear recommendations and drive decisions  
  • Executive Leadership: Proven ability to influence and lead across levels, including both peers and senior executives 
  • Storytelling and Communication: Skilled in distilling complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives grounded in data and tailored to audiences  
  • Team Leadership: Experience managing and developing high-performing teams (3-5+ direct reports, plus cross-functional partners and contributors) 
  • Collaboration & Agility: Comfort navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced environment  
  • Financial and Retail Data Acumen: Familiarity with basic financial management and business value drivers in CPG (P&L, balance sheet); experience working with retail data 

 

Experience: 

  • 6–10 years of combined experience leading strategic initiatives in a CPG company or strategic consulting firm generally preferred 
  • Experience leading strategic and data-driven recommendations and decisions is a must, with understanding of market research and techniques preferred 
  • Experience driving change in a complex business environment and people leadership experience is required
