Job Title: Senior Training & Development Coordinator
Job Location: Hershey, PA
Summary:
This position works as a member of the HR team and assists the Sr. HR Business Partner (Sr. HRBP) in the execution of various HR programs, policies, and procedures in support of the business goals of The Hershey Experience.
Key accountabilities of the Senior Training & Development Coordinator will fall in the areas of leading/developing online training programs, managing training data, deliver classroom instruction/presentations when needed to support company policy. In addition, this position will support HCW staffing/onboarding.
Major Duties/Responsibilities:
Lead/Develop Training Solutions
- Ability to influence up, down, and across the business and corporate organizations to achieve learning goals
- Translation of business needs into training solutions, articulating impact through data-based key metrics and KPIs
- Strategic project management skills and ability to manage through complexity against a deadline, escalating challenges and removing barriers to completion as needed
- Simplifying complex content, removing unnecessary details, and always asking, “what does the learner NEED to know?”
Training Data Management
- Maintains and administers items in learning management system
- Works with vendors and leaders to vet viability of and implementation of learning opportunities for THX employees
- Coordinates production and translation of training materials and assists with associated deployment/rollout schedules and activities
- Stays current with latest industry trends, tools, and best practices, bringing forth new ideas and challenging status quo
HCW Staffing
- Support the HR team staffing process with screening and onboarding new hires.
- Participate in internal and external career fairs and hiring events.
- Assist with employee electronic file management when needed.
HR Projects
- Support project to build capabilities and productivity throughout business through advanced learning and development.
- Manage/Maintain training data in LMS
- Support UPN and Intranet security process through employee awareness and training.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:
- Sound instructional design practices, including performance consulting and clear articulation of impact of learning intervention on the business
- Strong knowledge of adult learning theory, learning styles, and learning needs
- Ability to create compelling and communicative graphics & content (graphic design skills a plus)
- Experience with (some but not all) the following content development tools- and a curiosity to learn as needed:
- Audacity or similar audio recording application
- Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Fireworks, Dreamweaver) and Adobe Acrobat (PDF)
- Strong proficiency with MS Office 365 Suite including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Experience with Learn Management Systems (LMS)

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design or related fields, or equivalent 3 - 5 years of work experience in related field.
- Master's degree in Instructional Design/Technology or other Education related field preferred.
Experience:
- Manufacturing and/or CPG experience preferred.
