Summary of Role:
The Intercompany (IC) COE Specialist reports to the Sr Mgr. Intercompany COE and supports the Hershey Business Platform’s mission to leverage resources on a global scale using shared services to reduce costs, maintain or increase customer service, and build new capabilities.
This position is primarily responsible for supporting the end-to-end global intercompany accounting, reporting and related systems, executing month-end intercompany accounting and reporting procedures, serving as subject matter expert for global intercompany accounting, and various tasks and procedures in the areas of intercompany accounting and reporting; transfer pricing condition data maintenance; and others.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Perform intercompany journal entries as per Company policy.
· Create, as needed, documentation of intercompany processes and ensure documentation is current.
· Generate internal and external reporting for intercompany.
· Complete intercompany balance sheet account reconciliations as assigned according to the Company policies and deadlines.
· Perform, meet, and respond to Sarbanes-Oxley and both internal and external audit requirements and requests, as necessary.
· Create cash application reconciliations for intercompany payments.
· Participate in the implementation of and ongoing use of Blackline Intercompany Hub to address transaction management, dispute resolution, and consistency in calculations.
· Responding to team requests.
· Develop strong and collaborative working relationships with relevant business stakeholders.
· Maintain intercompany transfer pricing master data conditions.
· Track the completion of product movements from end to end by communicating with supply planning, customer service, transportation, global trade, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and treasury.
· Identify and lead the correction of product movements that have overages, shortages, or damages while working with the warehouses to gather appropriate support
Role Responsibilities:
Perform Global Intercompany COE responsibilities, including:
· Adhere to global intercompany governance structure, policies, and procedures.
· Track and ensure completion of end-to-end product movement between Hershey entities.
- Perform maintenance of intercompany transfer pricing master data
- Execute internal and external reporting for intercompany requests.
- Complete intercompany reconciliations
- Support IC month-end close.
- Post intercompany journal entries
Serve as global intercompany contact and subject matter expert and support company projects, as well as:
· Participating in the Blackline Intercompany Hub implementation
· Leverage technology, such as Blackline Intercompany Hub, Group Reporting, SAP ARP
· Help maintain a central repository of intercompany agreements
Perform various intercompany activities, including:
- Address the requests of internal and external auditors, including SOX.
- Understand and keep abreast of advances and improvements in Blackline technology and the IC associated process by interacting with peer companies and user forums

· Excellent skills in using relevant SAP functionality and Blackline software.
· Knowledge of financial accounting and internal control concepts
· Demonstrate ability to understand and align international accounting activities with global process standardization objectives.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
· Education –
o Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent experience
o Master of Business Administration preferred.
· Certified Public Accountant or equivalent certification preferred Experience –
o 2+ years intercompany experience
o 5+ years of accounting experience
