Sr Mgr Manufacturing Alliances

Summary:
The Sr Mgr. Manufacturing Alliances LATAM is a newly created role responsible for providing overall site leadership to key contract manufacturing partners located in the LATAM region supporting the US CMG business. The successful candidate will directly manage short- and long-term contract manufacturing partnerships, in conjunction with Hershey resources across departments, including Supply Chain, Procurement, IS, and Finance.
Oversees third-party site operations management, instituting key processes, metrics, tracking (in conjunction with Lean), and driving partner accountability and performance. Responsible for site and company goals by providing proactive, efficient, and reliable leadership for one to three shifts, seven day working environment. Independently performs all assignments after being given general instructions as to the results expected. Receives technical guidance on most unusual or complex problems. Takes the lead and initiates resolution of technical, unusual, or complex problems or issues. Exercise some discretion in resolving issues and receives supervisory approval on proposed plans for strategy changes and new projects. Responsibility may extend across more than one location / area or shift. Independently leads teams and proposes, plans, and executes projects to eliminate the root cause of operating problems. Independently executes projects of extremely high complexity which have a large impact on the company's current and/or future business interests. Projects may be of a complex nature relating to equipment or people.
Responsibilities:
- Provide vision and leadership to champion initiatives, drive and implement change, and optimize the business focusing on safety, quality, and costs.
- Oversee the financial performance of sites, including annual budget preparation, periodic reviews (monthly, quarterly), and strong control of direct, indirect, and unit costs.
- Lead collaborative continuous improvement initiatives with strategic partners from ideation through execution; ensuring annual savings offset inflationary pressures against strategic growth plan
- Provide leadership and participate during problem solving across areas / depts. / shifts. Implement recommendations / solutions. Initiatives can involve people, product, or equipment issues.
- Coordinate, organize and deliver communications concerning objectives, results, and plans within and between the site and other relevant parties to ensure seamless operations. Make necessary judgment calls on specific goal alignment to achieve operations excellence.
- Establish, monitor, and control the proper implementation and administration of all site procedures.
- Ensure that all aspects of SAP and related systems are properly implemented and utilized. Analyze data and lead initiatives to change direction based on outcomes. Partner with IS to create well-functioning systems environment with Hershey-controlled data and tools.
Minimum Requirements and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 10 years of supply chain or manufacturing experience (consumer packaged goods preferred)
- Must be fluent in Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing)

- Demonstrated excellent communication skills

- Budget and cost control
- PC skills: SAP S4, Excel, Word, Power Point, PowerBI
- SAP or other ERP system skills a plus
