How will you fit in the big picture?

The Senior Manager, Pricing Strategy drives the development and execution of net price realization strategies that maximize top- and bottom-line value creation across Hershey's portfolio. This role leads the creation of insights-based, consumer-backed pricing recommendations for senior leadership, including Executive Committee-level audiences, and develops formal occasion-based price pack architecture strategies from both brand and package-type perspectives. Leveraging deep pricing, revenue management, and analytical expertise, the position identifies opportunities to optimize pricing, improve portfolio mix, and support sustainable growth. The role partners closely with Commercial Planning, Marketing, Consumer Insights, Sales, Finance, Category Management, and Strategy teams to translate market dynamics into actionable pricing strategies and drive enterprise alignment on key revenue growth initiatives. Responsibilities include guiding pricing strategy development, leading cross-functional projects, influencing senior stakeholders, and ensuring disciplined execution of initiatives that support profitable business outcomes.

What will you do?

Pricing Strategy Development & Execution

  • Develop and recommend short-term pricing actions and long-term pricing strategies that support business objectives, including share growth, profitability, innovation, and mix improvement.
  • Deliver insights-based, consumer-backed pricing recommendations to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
  • Establish brand and package-type pricing positioning and target price gaps to optimize competitive pricing and drive positive mix.

Price Pack Architecture & Portfolio Optimization

  • Define pack size ratios and price curves to create effective price pack architecture strategies.
  • Identify opportunities for new pack creation that address channel-specific and occasion-based whitespace opportunities.
  • Develop pricing strategy recommendations for new product launches and portfolio innovations.

Revenue Analytics & Business Insights

  • Leverage pricing, consumer, competitive, and market insights to identify revenue growth opportunities and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Utilize econometric analysis, price elasticity insights, syndicated data, and financial performance metrics to evaluate pricing effectiveness and forecast business impact.
  • Develop and oversee standardized KPI reporting and performance management processes to monitor pricing strategy success.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Stakeholder Influence

  • Lead and influence cross-functional teams on strategic pricing initiatives and revenue growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate extensively with Commercial Planning, Marketing, Consumer Insights, Sales, Finance, Category Management, and Strategy partners to align pricing recommendations with business objectives.
  • Present analyses, recommendations, and strategic direction to senior leadership, including Executive Committee-level stakeholders.

Team Leadership & Operational Excellence

  • Lead, develop, and coach team members while establishing clear objectives and performance expectations.
  • Manage multiple projects and strategic initiatives simultaneously, ensuring high-quality execution and alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Drive adoption of tools, processes, and best practices that improve pricing strategy effectiveness and decision-making capabilities.

Minimum Education & Requirements

Expereince

  • 7+ years of business experience, with 3+ years in FMCG pricing strategy or trade strategy preferred.
  • Background in Finance, Marketing, Sales, Category Management, or other analytical business functions.
  • FMCG industry and retail merchandising knowledge preferred.
  • People leadership experience.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and team members simultaneously.
  • Understanding of econometric modeling, price elasticity, and financial/business analysis.
  • Experience with syndicated data sources (Circana, Nielsen) and analytical tools such as Excel, Alteryx, and AI-enabled applications.
  • Experience working with TPM, P&L data, SAP, or similar business systems.

 

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
