How will you fit in the big picture?
This position has direct reports and is responsible for the execution of the company’s Product Excellence Program within The Hershey Company facilities-internal plants, coman, copack and distribution network for the Salty Network in US and Canada. This position is responsible for food safety, food quality and regulatory aspects within this scope. The position leads a team that supports capital projects, innovation projects, capacity projects, continuous improvement projects, program execution, and daily operations. This position works with many functions across the company.
What will you do?
- Provide quality and regulatory leadership across the Salty Snacks network by executing the Salty Quality strategy, ensuring PEP program compliance, and making risk-based decision that ensures compliance, protects consumers, and advances business objectives.
- Lead quality integration for innovation, commercialization, productivity, and capital initiatives by defining quality requirements, driving risk assessment and mitigation activities, ensuring effective application of food safety and quality design principles, and enabling successful launch and scale-up of new products, processes, and technologies
- Lead team to establish quality systems including food safety plans, HACCP, audit readiness, CAPA governance, validation and verification programs, quality design reviews, and startup approval processes for all new innovation, capacity lines, etc.
- Build organizational capability by leading and developing a high-performing team of quality professionals.
- Drive enterprise quality performance through data and insights by defining key performance indicators, identifying emerging risks and improvement opportunities, prioritizing resources, and leading cross-functional initiatives
- 8 current internal Salty manufacturing plants, will be responsible for Lesser Evil post integration and any new mfg sites as part of Salty network strategy
- Primary escalation contact for all Salty coman and copack network and partnership with CMG GMA sites who are mfg/packing Salty products.
- Quality responsibility across 4 Salty DCs.
Minimum Requirements
Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of manufacturing experience in a high-speed automated Consumer Goods environment required (food industry preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience with progressive responsibility in Quality Assurance required. 5 years of leadership/management experience with direct reports desired.
- Knowledge of Food Safety Modernization Act, HACCP, and/or UDSA regulatory compliance required.
Education:
- Bachelors degree required, sci based field preferred. Certifications in SQF, PCQI, HACCP required.
- Certification in Six Sigma desirable.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $124,320 to $155,400 per year. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of job‑related factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skill set, education, and training. In addition to a market-competitive base salary, our Total Rewards package includes performance‑based incentives and a comprehensive, competitive benefits package designed to support overall physical, mental, and financial well‑being (as applicable).
