Sr Operations Business Project Leader

Job Location: Hershey, PA or Remote 


Role Summary:

This position is responsible for project management for key international markets. The primary markets will be Europe/Middle East/World Travel Retail, whereas the role will also support global projects led by the iCGO Team.  

This position will develop operational solutions, provide recommendations to leadership, and establish and implement execution plans for production capacity expansion, margin enhancement and new item production solutions.  They will leverage supply chain knowledge, and technical skills to drive solutions in a dynamic business environment. 
They will also provide analytical and project management support to cross functional project teams, including the International Growth Office team and regional marketing and cross-functional teams, to help deliver projects from North America internal/external supply sources.


Responsibilities: 
 

  • Participates in the formulation, evaluation, strategy setting, and presentation of product and process solution alternatives (i.e., product offerings, profitability, and the manufacturing solutions).
  • Leads the development of product line standard cost estimates for business case evaluation. 
  • Analyzed operational problems, identifies probably root causes, and recommends solutions 
  • Develops capital projects through completion and serves as a project leader during capital project development and approval

Technical/Soft Skills

  1. Strong exposure to manufacturing, preferable within CPG/confection industry
  2. Prior project management skills
  3. Strong skills with PCs, Windows operating system, and Microsoft Office Suite (Specifically Excel and PPT)
  4. Logical thinking, basic knowledge of statistical modeling techniques
  5. Business Acumen – ability to relate commercial needs to supply chain solutions; strong interpretation of P&Ls as well as product costing development
  6. Basic knowledge of supply chain management concepts
  7. Strong analytical skill and problem-solving skills; Very strong in data and reporting accuracy
  8. Excellent communication skills (verbal/written)
  9. Self-starter – needs to be able to work independently using time management and project management skills to hit key timelines
  10. Solution-Oriented – eager to find a solution for challenging problems or projects
  11. Ability to work with multicultural and multifunctional teams
  12. Good communication skills, ability to understand and explain mathematical concepts
  13. Ability to work under pressure and deadlines.

Experience & Education: 

  • BS/BA in Engineering, Science, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience.
  • Prefer minimum of 4-8 years related experience in Procurement/Contract Manufacturing/Project Management
