Sr. Analyst, Innovation Finance

Summary of Role:

Lead Innovation financial analysis for CMG & Salty by working cross-functionally and building business acumen to understand key financial drivers and impacts with the outcome of providing increased visibility in financial reporting to influence decision making at the leadership level

Role Responsibilities:

Prepare Innovation P&L’s by working cross-functionally with Project Managers, Marketing, Operation Business Development, Engineering, etc. Build business acumen to ensure accuracy in data received from cross-functional partners and to provide financial analysis and recommendations on levers to pull to increase profitability.

Evolve Innovation reporting to provide increased visibility to financial implications and to influence decision-making for continued profitable, sustainable growth.

Support Transformation initiatives that are Innovation focused such as a new framework, Strategic Financial Guardrails, related to tracking and guiding discussions relative to mix and margin implications of Innovation project decisions

Support data acquisition, cleansing and analysis relative to SKU level information of Innovation project data for increased visibility into PPG and customer performance

Provide Innovation Platform support to CMG & Salty by standardizing reporting, streamlining processes and automating and digitizing current ways of working

Effectively partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate assumptions are used in Innovation P&L’s and to influence pathways to a more profitable P&L outcome

Anticipate financial and strategic questions from the Director/VP level, as Innovation Projects are aligned on at this level of leadership

Desired knowledge, skills, and abilities:

3-5 years of business experience, including finance, accounting or a related field

Effective communicator with technical and non –technical individuals demonstrated by prior experience working cross-functionally

Strong analytical skills and business / financial acumen

Ability to produce accurate results in a fast paced constantly changing environment

Ability to analyze business processes, identify areas for improvement and execute process improvements

Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, above average knowledge of Excel

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: 

• Education –
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field
• Experience –
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in Finance or a related field
