Sr. Analyst, Salty Brand Finance

Summary of Role:
The Sr Analyst, Salty Brand Finance, plays a crucial role in providing financial guidance to brand leadership, utilizing data-driven insights to shape strategic decision-making. This position encompasses the financial management of a brand portfolio, including annual budgeting for DME, monthly forecasting, and performance reporting. The analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), identify trends, and assess new business initiatives aimed at enhancing brand profitability and fostering growth.
Role Responsibilities:
- Partner with Marketing team to forecast and manage the marketing budget.
- Promote enhanced financial acumen within the marketing organization through collaboration centered on business reviews, results interpretation, insight sharing, and action plans.
- Analyze key performance drivers, develop variance insights, and make recommendations
- Partner with the Innovation teams on new product pricing and financial analysis. Assemble and review financials supporting launch of innovation/new initiatives
- Assess drivers of margin variance and identify options for margin expansion
- Manage monthly DME and Brand Profitability reporting and variance analysis; review gaps to plan and highlight risk or opportunity
- Storytelling on periodic forecasts and monthly performance variances
- Support the strat plan process and provide an independent view of the realism of the Brand profitability through fact-based analyses
- Provide support to the US Commercial organization and lead special projects and ad hoc analysis requests.
Desired knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- 3+ years of solid business experience, including accounting, finance, FP&A and sales, interacting with sales & marketing.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with financial concepts and reporting. Advanced technical expertise with SAP and Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to create a tangible data-centric story that resonates with non-financial audiences and drives action
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with cross-functional partners
- Ability to work independently, managing multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Education –
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Marketing
- MBA Preferred
- Experience –
- At least 3 years of experience in Commercial Finance, Financial Planning and Analysis, evaluating business performance trends, revenue/expense management
